hmm, while your writing style doesn't particularly appeal to me (it's kind of like my own, actually...sort of wordy, yet vague, if that makes sense) I like what you're doing here and there are definitely a few moments in this fic that made me smile. I think you have a really strong grasp on Gaara's character; he's a tough one to nail down, but I like the touches of oddness you add...the way he can be too literal, the funny analysis he puts on his ability to love...

so i've read all three chapters and this story is truly endearing. their relationship is growing and developing. i can only image the guilt that kankuro feels as he's trying to save gaara.

Gaara almost died! And on such a simple mission. That would have sucked. That was really good. The ending was probably my favorite part. It caught me a little off guard and I was worried for a moment. But then, relief washed over me.

nice chapter... altho Gaara just doesn't seem the same without his monster-like abilities. I hope he learns to get better.
