Thanks for writing and sharing this with us! I'm enjoying reading it. I think you've got a good grip on the characters, and I love your combined make-up/no-makeup explanation for the Joker: it makes the chemical accident explanation make sense while retaining the all important concept (as you stated) that the Joker cannot hide -he has no secret/alternate identity - unlike the Batman. He is, as he might put it, more honest in that way.

This is really good. You really understand the Joker - this has got to be the best characterization of the Joker I've read so far. Or, at least, you've definitely gotten the Joker's insanity down.

As for Batman... well, I hope the Joker gets out of Arkham and gives Batsy something to do again. Batman doesn't know what to do with himself without the Joker... ;)
