 X-elemental 3/13/12 . chapter 1 Whoops, forget to mention:
The Finite Incatem at the end looks like it snuffed out the worldline/creation. What spell was finite'd, though? |
X-elemental 3/13/12 . chapter 1 An answer to a question, this fic is.
My question would be...Do Black Hole thermodynamics allow time travel?
After all, you cannot create something from nothing...even from Steins;Gate. Which I rec you to watch, btw, if you like the topic. |
GodricGeoffreyGryffindor 11/1/11 . chapter 1This story is more shocking than funny. But does provoke some 'what if' thoughts:
1) What if Harry Potter can survive time paradoxes? It might be funny to have some HP stories with deliberate time paradoxes. They'd be like Escher drawings.
2) What if 'the power the Dark Lord knows not' is the ability to imprison someone else in a time loop or other time paradox? Harry could put Voldemort in a tight time loop, and he couldn't use his Horcruxes to come out because he wouldn't be dead, but he couldn't do any more harm either.
3) What if Voldemort tries this instead of Harry and puts himself in an irreparable time splinch? After all space and time is one continuum, so if you can apparate in space you should theoretically be able to apparate in time (assuming time travel is possible at all). |
Dreaming on Cloud Nine 10/28/11 . chapter 1Very interesting and a very good reason why not to mess with time |
Elf Knight 10/9/11 . chapter 1Oh, dear! Poor Harry. That would really be one heck of a way to go. While reading your Lazy!Harry story, I've noticed that you have a thing for writing Dark yet humorous stories at the same time. Still, a warning would have been appreciated. The fanfic was awesome though as some of these time travels are horribly cliche, stagnant, old, stale, rotten, and used to the core. They can be well made but are mostly over-rated to the extent of nausea.
Everything's perfect for Harry when he goes back in time and he becomes all powerful, gets the girl with a flick of his fingers, casts down Dumledore, defeats Voldermort, Ron becomes Draco, blah, blah, blah. Basically, you have summed up what I hate about time travel stories to the core and I absolutely love it! Don't get me wrong though, as I do enjoy some fanfics if humorized or very well writen with a good plot and hardly any cliches. Sadly, that is hard to do so this fanfic was a really good idead. Awesome! :) |
ironhair 9/5/11 . chapter 1Interesting, but this went over my head...
Did he cause the end of the world due to a faulty time travel spell? |
The Master 6/20/11 . chapter 1 And that is why I used a paradox machine. |
 Kell Shock 4/20/11 . chapter 1What?
So paradoxes cause the universe to cease to exist?
Good to know. |
 noreenklose 3/14/11 . chapter 1WOW.
AWWW- - -poor Harry!
KUTGW,
Noreen |
 metal.v2 2/27/11 . chapter 1 Blood awesome. |
ThetaGraphics 12/20/10 . chapter 1Hmm, personally I was expecting him to somehow accidentally squish his younger self as he exited the time portal...whoops? lol
The ending is kinda vague, but I can tell that he somehow created a paradox that destroyed reality, though it isn't completely clear as to what the actual paradox is: Was it the fact that he time traveled at all? Or did he alter the future enough that he never has a reason to go back to change it in the first place?
I agree, changing your own linear timeline is a very bad idea due to this "Grandfather Paradox"... That's why jumping to alternate realities is a better idea. XD |
Lord Sia 12/15/10 . chapter 1Well... Erasing Reality is something many, *many* bad guys have attempted, but all of them have failed in the face of plucky young heroes. Harry... Did succeed. If unintentionally. |
 Cassandra30 12/12/10 . chapter 1Better gone than used and abused. |
AoMythology 11/14/10 . chapter 1Wow. This doesn't seem to belong in the 'Humor' genre at all, but the irony of Harry's attempt at making things right causing infinitely more damage than Voldemort ever could or would did almost make me chuckle. |
 Twylyte 11/1/10 . chapter 1AAAH! Just: AAAHH!
