great insight on the characters, especially when Bruce starts deconstructing his reaction to the trio. really skillfully handled, nothing in the story seemed forced. please keep them coming!

Wow...just too great to put into words. SOOO well written, and such a good idea. Funny to see how Bruce/Batman just goes insane after people tried to help him out. I loved it. :)

Chris, what can a reader do but rave? Another marvellous work in a series that becomes better and better _as_ a series every time another story is added. I was nervous when I saw the "Angst" genre rating, but I needn't have worried; you had Bruce indulge in some serious soul-searching (for a reason that was both logical and hilarious!), but you _didn't_ use that as an excuse for him to revert to Psycho-Bat (lovely turn of phrase, and I must remember it; it's better than "Batnut", which was my term for the same thing) and end up back at the original "status quo" - which, as you pointed out way back when, sucks! It's wonderful to see Bruce come to terms with the fact that Selina is a source of happiness in his life, and that that happiness can be a source of strength. I don't know whether you plan any more parts for this story, but I think it would be interesting to see Bruce talk to Selina about his new-found self-awareness - and it might _really_ get her purring... More, please, and I hope to see Bruce continue to emerge from the darkness - not completely, but enough to make him more like my favourite version of Batman (other than yours ) - by Englehart, c.1978: BatMAN, not Batnut.

This was so great! You are a terrific writer and I loved the whole emotional inner turmoil. A

OK is it just me, or do these get better and better. The perspectives were outstanding and the internal conversation Batman had was simply FANTASTIC. Is it it a good or bad thing that i argue with myself that way...ANYWAY, great job. This entire series has become a classic in my eyes.

Although it may not have been your intent, the first part of this was incredibly funny. And it's only funny to

the people who stand outside the situation. Those who were living through such a situation wouldn't consider it

funny at all. Thusly showing you really are good. (Perhaps you should ask for a copy of DC's

submission guidelines. Hint, hint.) I am somehow reminded of a scene from John Bruner's "The Shockwave Rider"

where the main character realizes that having emotions wouldn't cripple his abilities, but instead enhanced them.

Since it was written many years ago, it's a little anachronistic in places, but you might enjoy it.
