I don't watch American Idol, but I'm not quite as oblivious to it as Bones is! I loved her logic with the "everybody doesn't watch." Perfect Bones.

You probably should have stuck with just Booth's point of view for such a short story, but the fact that you jumped back and forth really didn't hurt it at all.

i really loved this... i can totally imagine Bones analysing the show and the contestants... hehe... i loved how she thought that Cookie was more of an alfamale than Arhie... really good observation... thumps up..:D

Now that I can finally review this. I'm glad that Brennan was finally introduced to American Idol especially since Booth keeps referencing it and she just looks at him like he has grown a second head. It's just too bad that he had to be in the hospital to show her and not all snuggly in his house on his couch. Cute fic I really liked it.

Don't you hate it when real life gets in the way of important things...like reviewing. I like the concept of continuing the story from an American Idol point of view. One of my favourite parts in this episode was when Booth mentioned Kelly Clarkson's song 'Because Of You' & Brennan responds with 'Because of me'. PMSL.

...gotta love Brennan proving this statement of Booth's to be false...she does not watch, so therefore not EVERYONE watches it...so literal. :-)

Not being a watcher of Idol myself, let alone the American version, I really had no idea if the 2 Davids were in fact actual idol contestants. Then after reading this I saw a clip with D&E mentioning the final & D said that he was going for David Cook...I just loved the timing of it all!!

I like seeing B&B doing normal everyday things - such as watching tv together - even if it is from his hospital bed. The 'this is nice' comments were so sweet. At least they had admitted to themselves that they were more than just partners even if they were not able to do that to each other just yet. But this was full of promises, the head leaning & hand holding was a premise of what was to come...& it wasn't very far away at all.
