Askeladd 2009-12-08 . chapter 6Oh Chase. I think you want it more than you know. XD |
MaaraDeklaLaima 2009-12-05 . chapter 28WOW That was interesting read. House and Chase were IC and others too. Well done. I really liked Cuddy and Wilson.
One of the best fanfic what I have read. You are talented
I wish you would write sequel
I am adding this story to favourites |
BalancingxAct 2009-11-28 . chapter 28I feel so spiritually and emotionally complete! I'm glad that you didn't make a big to-do about their getting back together. It makes it feel more natural, more like them.
So Chase called it "home" so they're living together! Yay! I'm a tad disappointed that there was no sexy man lovin, but I'll just go back to another chapter to get my fix ;) Actually, I take that back. I'm not disappointed, it makes it much sweeter that they didn't get it on... which may have been your point all along. Sorry I'm so daft!
I knew Chase would stay with House! He can't live properly without him! and the same goes for House! ... I liked the bit about "the list of Things We Don’t Joke About". It seemed very true to character.
Jealous Chase, worried about having Stacy around, how cute!!
Ok, favorite line this Chpt: “The woman you used to live with?”
“That’s her Indian name—on her driver’s license, it’s Stacy,”! Ah, that got me laughing!!
I'm glad he told Stacy about Chase. They don't really have to hide anymore and I think that will be good for them. Wonder what Wilson thinks about them getting back together. Probably happy that he doesn't have to worry about the next prank they're going to pull... it probably took a load off Wilson.
"I'm with the blond one. In the paisley and stripes.” Loved how he pointed out Chase's awful clothes- that's a favorite pastime of House's.
House has a thing for drugging people, doesn't he? I loved how House could care less about anything that Mark was saying, or how he was claiming Stacy. Cause House LOVES Chase. Yes he does. I know it.
I don't want this to be over. It's weird that this will be my last review. This story has been such an adventure. It was very emotionally satisfying.
Thank you thank you thank you. I'm am so glad that you wrote this. Thank you.
I loved it. You're fantastic, I mean that from every corner of my soul. You made me laugh, you made me cry (a lot), you moved me. It was so worth it, because in the end, everything that I wanted came true! Love will prevail!
One last time: thank you!!
With genuine appreciation and admiration,

BalancingxAct 2009-11-28 . chapter 27Oh my god! They're together again... kinda, sorta. I know House expects Chase to reject him but I know that won't happen! Because Chase is forgiven and House is talking to him again and Chase is absolved of his sins and life is going to be good!
Chase's mom's obituary? Stacy's wedding announcement? They know how to hurt each other. Which I suppose means that they know each other deeply, more deeply than they let on.
One more Chapter! I must go!

BalancingxAct 2009-11-28 . chapter 26I can't believe House spiked Chase's coffee! I mean, considering that he's IN a hospital it probably wasn't life-threatening, but still! And Chase- to mess with his cane! These doctors are behaving like spiteful, vengeful little boys! and it's very entertaining!
I wonder how long they can keep up this back-and-forth, I'm-going-to-kill-you thing. How long until one snaps??
I know my reviews are getting progressively worse, but I'm so close to the end! I just can't wait!
-April
P.S. I loved that Chase had to run home, good job! |
BalancingxAct 2009-11-28 . chapter 25House singing to the lobby was a nice touch. Very true to the character- but we all know you're fantastic at that!
I've got a sketchy feeling about Chase filling House's prescription. I don't know how it could go bad, and I don't think that Chase would mess with him on a medical level, but you never know. Is he giving him placebos?
So many things I want to know!!
House sure talked himself out of not playing Dare Chess. I knew he wanted to play! He can't leave things unsolved or unfinished. and this is such a good opportunity for him to beat Chase, which is what he's convinced himself is what he really wants- but I know better! ;)
What does “Just because I employ him doesn’t mean that he actually works for me" mean? I can't really grasp what he's saying here. Help me understand!
Hm, why wouldn't Chase want House to forgive him? Does he feel like he doesn't deserve it? He must want it, if not need it. Confusing little wombat, he is.
I'm so close to the end- I hope to finish tonight!

 BalancingxAct 2009-11-28 . chapter 24Ok, they're working together again, that's a start.
Wilson baited House intentionally right? The mysterious initial and red ink, that was a ploy to get House over there.
It's a bit confusing. Vogler's gone. The Big Baddie went Bye-Bye. Why don't I feel more relieved? I still feel so much pressure and tension… I want House and Chase to be happy and stop hating and stop being punished.
Chase is taking a turn for the masochistic side isn't he?
I enjoyed the boys' reaction to Wilson labeling them as "lovers". Because no matter what House said, they were more than "fuckbuddies"! and they both know it!
Chase didn't really PEE in House's cup did he?? that's gross and low and I don't see how that would help his case.
Why did he make a move? He must realize it can never be the same?
Once again, the next one beckons me like a sirens song!

P.S. I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I am so eternally glad you wrote this. Thank you so much for writing this.

BalancingxAct 2009-11-28 . chapter 23Wow, this one was intense.
Lots about strangulation, but it's relevant and symbolic. The end with Cuddy was quite poignant.
It struck me again how much House is hurting. How hopeless and empty he feels. This story is heartbreaking in the most beautiful way! It's such an emotional journey- I love it!!
Wilson, poor jobless Wilson. I like the way he told House what went down at the meeting better in your story than how I remember it happening in the show. Wilson always does get caught up in the middle of House's affairs, doesn't he?
What you wrote about how Cuddy was feeling, what she was feeling, was entirely captivating. So damn intense!! AH! I'm sorry this is such a crap review, but I must forge ahead and find what's become of my favorite boys!

BalancingxAct 2009-11-28 . chapter 22Guess who's back after an extremely long sabbatical? ME!
Oh my giddy god! It didn't work! Chase's plan didn't work! House hates him, he lost his job, slandered House, and indirectly got Wilson fired as well! Chase has been busy while I was gone…
My heart broke when I read Chpt 21, House's reaction killed me. And then I thought there was hope that somehow, against all odds, it would smooth out; when House said that it was an impossible chess move that sparked hope in me. Which you proceeded to crush, but that's why I love this! I'm a glutton for punishment, I am.
I can't explain it, but for some reason when I was reading Chpt 22 I had a feeling that maybe Cameron really WAS working for Vogler, in addition to House. But that doesn't make any sense… it was just a crazy thought.
"he’d convinced himself that Chase could only be loyal to him" aw, poor poor House. He must be suffering so much. It was really interesting to delve a bit into his thoughts at the beginning of the chappie, how he is still very hurt, but his insane thoughts are tempered by his rational side.
I liked it when House threw the chess board. It was quite symbolic, I think. That's he's really given up on this thing, and that he can't go back, start the game over.
I can't believe Chase signed the complaint form!! He is so stupid, and sad. What does Vogler have over Chase that makes him bend to his will? Was it the threat of firing House… but before Dare Chess Chase wouldn't have cared… I will find out right? Please tell me you answered in one of the upcoming chapters??!
And did Chase sign the form AFTER he was fired, ahem-excuse me, resigned? Would that impact the legality of it at all?? I'm really reaching here, I just need to hope that everything will turn out ok for these boys. … I think it will, you're good and kind, I believe this will have a happy ending. It has too. Please?
This is just as brilliant as I remember it, I'm glad I have an opportunity to finish it now!

olimakiella 2009-11-27 . chapter 28 I am completely in love with this entire fic. I haven't ever read one this long and involved but I must say I can get to like them if they are all of this callibre.
Fav line: You tried to kill me, I tried to kill you now we're even.
It had me giggling so much I had to take a break. This was an excellent story. Great job. |
Omorocco 2009-09-13 . chapter 28Awesome fic? You're doin' it rite.
I absolutley love your story.
Aside from a few minor grammar problems here and there, it's perfect.
Great plot, great characterisation, and great writing! |
fourleggedfish 2009-08-09 . chapter 28Okay, so I know I'm like a year late in reading this, but I just found it and I just had to say wow. I spent the past 6 hours devouring it and it is, hands down, the best House/Chase I have ever read. I just had to say that. It was complex and witty, IC, totally absorbing...just great. |
 CaffinH 2009-08-01 . chapter 28Oh my gosh!!

intractable 2009-06-19 . chapter 20“Nothing,” House muttered. Shit. If Chase found out that he’d broken one of the rules of the game, he’d be dead. Well, more accurately, he’d have lost the game. And if he didn’t have the game, then there was no way that he’d ever be able to know if Chase was telling the truth. Actually, he probably wouldn’t be able to go and patch things up with Chase after today’s events if he lost the game.
Do you have any idea how many times I lost the game while reading this paragraph? lol.
Anyway, this is a wonderful story. I can't wait to find out what Chase is going to do to get out of this. Or for that matter, what he would have had to do before he had his 'eureka' moment. |
vice17 2009-06-17 . chapter 28This is the first House fic I've read. Just wow, it felt like I was watching a real episode but with slashy goodness. You did the characters justice and made the pairing believable without compromising on the facts and characters of the series.
The storyline just flows really well and this fic is definitely going on my favorite list. Great writing. :) |
