Alo Amicus 2009-12-22 . chapter 1Holy crap. That is a HELL of a oneshot. I-I don't know what to say. |
wayne82444@aol.com 2009-12-20 . chapter 1 You know this story is a perfect example of the fact that light doesn't mean good and dark doesn't mean evil. I see so many authors who try to say that anyone who is "light" must be a great person, and anyone who is "dark" must be evil that it gets annoying, but here you have the "light" in charge of a society that can only be called evil no matter how you look at it- after all they are frying people's magic just because they are ambitious or cunning. There is no way you can justify that, no matter how bad a war there is. That said I think the worst thing about this story is the major cliffhanger at the end- you have no idea where Harry goes, or what happens to the people who are sorted into Slytherin after whatever is done to them by the chair. With how awful the society here is I can very well see them being killed, in fact when they took the veil off of the chair I was expecting something like a guillotine, where they would just kill the person in the middle of the great hall in front of a bunch of children. I doubt I really need to sat this after everything I said before, but you did a great job at making this horrifying. |
 LordAnarchy666 2009-12-11 . chapter 1** amazing, perfect cliffhanger, perfect atmosphere 5/5 |
Sean Mulligan 2009-12-08 . chapter 1I would like to see a prequel to this. |
Lacarnum Inflamarae 2009-12-06 . chapter 1I have tears in my eyes. This was so suspenseful and crazy. When Malfoy was put into Slytherin I gasped out loud. I trembled throughout the whole thing. It really pulled me into the story. Wow. Wow, wow, wow.
I just read the review. All the sentences seem so disjointed and halting. I can't think any harder to write a better flowing one. My mind is in shock. Sorry. |
troyguffey 2009-11-30 . chapter 1Somehow I DON'T think the "Side of Light" won the last time... |
Horace Nihil 2009-11-17 . chapter 1This idea is very good. Short to the point, one of the bset oneshots I ever read.
Congratulations |
 ClosetSlashFanGirl '-' 2009-11-01 . chapter 1you sick person |
Alexandra 2009-10-20 . chapter 1 Oh, very creepy! I approve. Poor ol' Draco.
Seriously, this is well written and cleverly set up - it's a bit like that awful story 'The Lady and the Tiger' that everyone reads in middle school, except that I liked this. |
Contemplative 2009-10-20 . chapter 1 Terrifying. Shivers. Now THAT was a truly disturbing vision.
Thanks for writing! |
etienneofthewestwind 2009-10-06 . chapter 1I haven't read anything like this. A truly chilling account of what could happen if the prejudices about Slytherin gripped full control of Wizarding society. The Nazi overtones were ironic given the similarities JKR commented on between the Nazis and the Pureblood movement. Of course, all the Light side did was substitute Slytherin blood for Muggle...
Overall, a well-written story. It was not clear how the sorting hat remained ignorant of the fate of those it sorted into Slytherin, but I'm assuming it's had more that silencing spells thrown at it? |
bookreader 2009-09-24 . chapter 1Holy hell. That was one of the darkest most terrifying takes on a (bad) outcome of the war against Voldemort. I applaud this amazing work. A sequel would be nice, but I'm rather terrified of what it would contain. Good job. |
 Doubleblade Miriko 2009-09-01 . chapter 1(Silence)
...
Wow...
This is very realistic. This is how people act. They wanna destroy the Dark side, so they are doing things like this. And I liked the Russian Rulette metafora. And what did that chair accually did? Did it took magic? That would be awful. Nice little one-shot. Thank you for this, you shocked me. |
AddictedToReading 2009-07-31 . chapter 1 Oh wow...my heart is just pumping so hard. It's a surreal story. I love it. Would have been fun to see what would happen later though. |
dundee998 2009-07-07 . chapter 1Good god... I can't think of anything else to say... Excellent writing style. I'd compliment more, but the horror is sort of... cloying. |
