I always love books with quotes at the beginning...it helps set the mood, like watching a move trailer on youtube before heading off the cinema. And a little Josh Groban never hurt anyone, right?

The awkwardness and the humor were well written...the blend of the two stories certainly had interesting effects. Elizabeth I can see taking this role-but not Will. However, it made for a humorous read! Food for a thought: rewrite a similar piece with a role reversal, Elizabeth playing a prank that ends up not being as funny as she had thought...or one with hilarious consequences! I enjoyed finding the tidbit about the medallion hidden away in the piece (how interesting that she hasn't confessed anything since stealing it...a guilty conscience, maybe?). It helped keep us anchored in the POTC universe.

The ironic twist of the ending was well done! Even if it is in the Zorro movie, taking a visual medium and translating it into words is something difficult and deserving of praise.

This was so cute. I loved how they both had impure thoughts about each other, and that they felt the need to confess.

Shame on Will, lol. He's so insecure about his position, and that Elizabeth is so far above him, and how could she possibly desire him when there are others who are more suitable. But I don't think that there is anyone who wouldn't take advantage of the opportunity of trying to find out if the person that they had feelings for reciprocated those feelings.

Loved it. Now, you need to write more, please.
