Wow, what an amazing beginning. He actually killed the Sheriff ..? Can't wait to read more!
Dimitra 4/13/12 . chapter 1
Dear bookishy

PLEASE-PLEASE-PLEASE finish this story.

I know I am a latecomer but after reading it (on my iPhone I might add) for five hours non stop, I was left hanging at 4.30am.

I am desperate for the end.

On a more serious basis now. I have never read a fanfiction that is less of a fanfiction and more of a book in its own right. The characters are well rounded and their development gradual. It is all true to human nature; no super-lover Guy, no sublime first night experience for Marian.

The plot is thoroughly believable. I truly loved how you included the historical facts about "good king Richard". I have found Robin's fight for a king who hardly ever visited England and spoke no english slighty ridiculous and it is a vindication for historical truth to see the heroes realise that they are simply pawns in the hands of ruthless leaders.

All told this is a wonderful story. Have you ever thought of actually publishing it? I for one would gladly pay for it. Please let all of us addicts know if you ever do! In fact I would love to read whatever you wrote, because you are an AUTHOR.

Best luck in your life. Thank you for your story.

I am now going back to reading it again.

Dimitra

A fun from Greece

This story is wonderful! You are an amazing writer, the characters are portrayed so realistically and their development is gradual and meaningful. The way you describe body language and subtle gestures is just amazing, you really bring this story to life. Luckily you shipped the G/M boat I'm already aboard because if you had written it R/M I have a feeling I'd still eat it up because of your writing ability. Of course I wish the story would be taken to its conclusion but I am thankful for this portion at least- it is definitely in a league of its own!

Still loving it...hating the mission, hating Guy having to relive his childhood through Ahmed, and that he cares enough about Marian that he is willing to break his one 'death code' for lack of a better word on my part.

fav line: The good news is that he is finally starting to understand how to handle her: think of what he would like for her to do and prepare for the opposite. Marian had yelled that he wanted to put her in a pit, but that is not true. She could escape a pit. Easily.

Haha- awesome!
Mere24 8/31/11 . chapter 12
Gah, These two are killing me. I love the way that you write them. I like that you are giving Robin a chance to be Robin as well. He drives me crazy, I don't know what Marian sees in him-for the most part. But i hate it when fics villianize him, and make him one dimensional, and make it to where Marian can just easily fall off of the 'I love Robin' train. (not nearly as much as the occasional M/R fics that I have been recommended that completely turn Guy into a heartless monster that really only cares about getting in Marian's pants-it goes both ways)

You have given them the depths and challenges that it would take for Guy and Marian to come together! I have to write a little bit before I can finish reading, but all that I want to do is finish this fic! It is great by the way!
Mere24 8/31/11 . chapter 10
Guy was kind of a bastard, but he needed to be, if not they would never get past tiny petty arguments rather than conversations. The love scene was well written...Guy's birthday is August- I love it.
Mere24 8/30/11 . chapter 8
I love the way that you write Allan...I don't know which was better, Guy the demented badger, or this:

You know what I mean, Marian. Don't bring a hog to the feast and then make everyone eat turnips, that's all I'm saying

So true, Allan: funny and strangly insightful.

Great chapter
Mere24 8/30/11 . chapter 7
GAH! This chapter was full of raging emotions. He is leaving the sheriff to do the same dirty work for a man that he despises, all for a woman who he thinks may despise her...yowsa, loving it.
Mere24 8/30/11 . chapter 5
I hope that i am not driving you crazy with a thousand emails, but I love reviews, and assume that others do to. I just want to let you know how fabulous your hard work is!

I know that I should not, but I found this line hilarious:

"Although he is almost tempted to ask for a blade and start hacking away at his own head"

Almost as funny as this: "That's it! Like Marian. Imagine if Marian were trapped in a barn about to go up in smoke…No, wait…Imagine it were five Marians ready to meet their maker. I mean, one has a beard and the other one kind of looks like a bear that's been driven round the bend a few times, but—"

God, I love Allen! The end of this chapter was great, on to the next!
Mere24 8/30/11 . chapter 4
Wow, this chapter packed some punch. Between the confrontation between Robin and Guy, then Guy's truthfulness to the King, I am left wondering where we are going...Then there was this:

"There are words for women who make the kind of deals that you did," he whispers in her ear, and then walks back through the cut in the tent and out of her life.

OUCH! Well written, it took my breath away, but ouch! Poor Marian. She only used the only thing that she knew she had to carry out Robin's last wish, and at complete sacrifice of herself. Even though she drives me crazy, and I think that she is deplorable a lot of the time, she did not deserve that. Mean, horrible Robin!
Mere24 8/30/11 . chapter 3
This is not good for Guy...poor guy. I love the way that you have written it, it is gripping.

Fav line: Robin, I have something to tell you. Robin, I thought you were dead. Robin, remember how much you love England? Robin, I'm not being funny, but… Nothing will sound right...

I vote for one of the last two : )
Mere24 8/30/11 . chapter 1
Wonderful chapter and storyline. I cannot wait to keep reading.
Lady Vivienne 7/21/11 . chapter 20
One word. Wow.

I am completely and utterly in love with your writing. I must praise your portrayal of the characters most of all, because you've kept their essence in a way few fanfics ever did (at least for myself). This is the Guy I love, the one that doesn't care, that is driven only by his deep, burning love for Marian; I may sound strange, but I don't like to read about a Guy who has redeemed. That would mean the end of everything, because that is what attracted me in him: the complexity and contradiction of his dark nature and noble principles, between the ways he uses to pursue his means and the constant longing for stability and light. For Marian, clearly.

I love how realistic your story is, and how beautiful.

Hope you will update soon, I'm dying to known what will happen next.
Truda 7/4/11 . chapter 20
So, I read the entire story and I confess: Im so in love with your writing. The characters are so perfectly written.

Is there any chance, that you continue this story sometimes?
fly2venus4tea 5/17/11 . chapter 20
I must confess that I haven't watched one single episode of BBC's RH. Yet. All three seasons are sitting there on my hard-drive, waiting for me. I'm not sure what holds me back to devour them in a few sittings. Maybe it's because I already know too many spoilers, maybe it's because I already know what I will like and what will disappoint me. Now after I've read "Fallout", I fear that anything I will see in the series will pale in comparison to your writing. I have my fingers crossed and hope that one day, there will be updates on this brilliant piece of fanfiction.

All the very best to you,

a fan
