This is a really great alternate storyline for Hikaru no Go. I truly hope that you are still working on the sequel and that it has not been abandoned.

I like the way you charactarize Hikaru and the fact it takes her years to be good unlike some authors who made sometimes good story but quite impossible.

I enjoyed this story very much! It was interesting and different, and I liked your portrayal of Kouyo and Hikaru. It's a bit amusing that Hikaru and Akira haven't met, one would think after years of hearing about the other they might be a bit curious about meeting. I look forward to reading the sequel :)

You've written a lovely short story about Hikaru no Go. I like how you portrayed Hikaru as a girl. Actually, most of the fanfictions I come across that have Hikaru as a girl generally characterize him pretty well as a girl...but he's not even that girly. That's weird, hm. Ahh, well anyhow, I love your story. It's definitely something different from the other girl Hikaru stories you can find around.

I liked how Hikaru met Toya-sensei first, things would definitely be way different, and I liked how you wove your story. I think you've done wonderfully in keeping Toya-sensei in character, and I like how you wrote in his point of view. It was something different and refreshing, since most stories are told in third person.

I nearly cried when Sai left, I think I cried when he left in the manga. But, anyhow, I really can't find anything to criticize...then again, I've never been good at well finding faults. Hahahaha...thank you for posting and sharing your lovely story. I shall be eagerly anticipating the sequel. ^^ Good luck with it.

This story is awesome. I'm new to Hikaru no Go fandom, but I'm loving it.

I love how Hikaru changes when she is not pushed into the professional track and lives a high school life (btw, is the cousin a reference to another series/character).

I can't wait to see the reaction from other pros about Hikaru when she goes for pro.

Hm. . . "even when she was upset her lips curled upward." I had to stop and wonder about this, because I don't think I've ever met anyone like this, but I think this works because it shows how young Hikaru is. I like the contrast between the exuberant Hikaru and the serious Hikaru you have going on here at the end.

I really like how calm Touya Kouyo seems in his observations. This is how I imagine he'd think like.

This is a wonderful story. I love how you used Touya Kouyo as the main character. It's very refreshing to see this kind of story. I'm just wondering if you have a sequel in the works. Maybe you could write it from Akira's point of view or possibly Hikaru's. I would love to see how Hikaru and Akira interact with one another. Keep up the excellent work!
