Beautifully written. If you were willing Id love to see more by this pair in such a style. Perhaps such letters become habit for Roy when Ed is gone. When he's in the other reality Roy'd probably manage an entire book.

Although, I would like to oppose the Flame Alchemist on one thing; I happen to think Ed takes after his father. Actually, when I first saw Ed in the movie, I kind of flipped because he looked so much like Hohenhiem.

Normally, I'm not a huge fan of yaoi or shonen-ai, but this is a very well written piece. Very nice descriptions. It also struck me as funny for some reason, so I apologize if that wasn't the angle you were attempting to take here.
It would be kind of interesting if Ed "accidentally" found this letter and then wrote a similar one about Roy. Actually, scratch that. It would be FREAKING ADORABLE.

Hmm. You could do a second chapter for this, if you want. I'd recommend that either Ed find the letter or Roy could make a fool of himself. Maybe he'd be hungover and starts rambling stupid stuff.

Roy: Shut up, meaty thighs.
Haha.
Of course, the second suggestion might be an insult to this story. After all, the first chapter is well-written and rather poetic. If Roy had a hangover and made a fool of himself, it might come off as too light-hearted and humorous, which might take credit away from the first chapter.
