Not overly sappy at all! It had the perfect amount of sap, I thought. I like how you portray Matt too, never able to say how he feels.

Really lovely story - I love the collection-of-moments structure, too. Makes it seem almost poetic. ^_^

It wasn't overboard sappy, don't worry. I think fics from Matt's point of view are my favourite because he is such a minor character that we never really see who he is past speculation. He was created specifically for Mello. It's a wicked pairing and I love how you wrote this.

I liked this so much that I want to draw a manga version of it.
