rubeanddodo 4/22/13 . chapter 1Why did I never know about this? Thanks sweetie - it will be very helpful. |
Guest 3/20/13 . chapter 1 thanks a lot for this...! |
Brooke 1/1/13 . chapter 1 Wow this is fantastic. I read Gone with the Wind and Rhett Butler's people. I just want to say that Scarlett has not been authorized and Rhett Butler's people has been. |
noel.figart 7/11/12 . chapter 1The only real issue with the timeline (and this could be resolved with a 4th Quarter birthdate for Scarlett) is that she admits she's 28 when Rhett leaves her. |
kindofafangirl 5/15/11 . chapter 1THANK YOU SO MUCH! I read Gone with the Wind for a historical book required for my American HIstory class. Ironically, I was trying to stay off fanfiction so I could work on teh project when I found this. Thank you so much for helping me along, I didn't finish the book in time, I still have a hundred pages, but I've seen the movie a thousand times and now I am just ranting about stuff that you probably 'Don't give a damn' about, so I'll just stop and say thank you for your hard work on this! |
Avrice the Demigod 3/23/11 . chapter 3I tried to access your websight but my browser only brought up a blank page. But the resources you provide are really usful. It'd be alot useful if you could summersie the chapters |
ScentofSpringRain 7/5/10 . chapter 1 Thank you so much for posting this! It is really helpful to have all of the main events dated. The only error I can see is that the Yankees came to Tara twice. The "Union deserter" mentioned came two weeks after Scarlett returned to Tara, or mid-September. The Yankees that came in November were with Sherman. This was the group that allowed Scarlett to keep Charles' sword and then tried to burn Tara as they left. Other than that, this is terrific, and I'm sure it will be/already is a great resource for many authors! |
jain austin 4/24/10 . chapter 1 Scarlett must have been Ellen & Gerald's first child. In the chapter in the beginning of the book that covers their backgrounds, I recall it is clearly stated that Ellen was 15 when she married Gerald, and Scarlett was born a year later. Suellen was a year younger that Scarlett (as indicated in the book), and Careen was 13. The 3 infant boys must have been born after the girls, and then something must have happened to Ellen reproductively, because after that they knew there would be no more children. Ellen was 16 years older that Scarlett, 32 at the beginning of the story. Rhett was actually a year older that Scarlett's mother! But that was not at all unusual for the time; Gerald was actually 28 years older that Ellen! |
jain austin 4/24/10 . chapter 1 this is really great! I've worked on the same in my head. Regarding Wade's birthday: Scarlett & Charles married on April 30, and they only had one week together before he left for the war. So Wade had to be conceived the first week of May, 1861. Nine months from then-count 'em-is the first week of January, 1862. That gives Scarlett an additional month to recover before junketing off to Charleston & the Aunts, and thence home to Tara before going to Atlanta mid-May, at which point Wade would be about 5 months old. |
Hey nonny nonny 12/7/09 . chapter 1 Thank you; this will be very useful for a fic I'm writing! |
Cat O'Hara Butler 9/15/09 . chapter 1That was very good! i have that kinda in my head as far as when the children were born and such, but i didn't have the rest! that's really well thought out. you know your story. i will go back and read the book again but i can't see anything wrong with this. thanks again, Cat |
Sara 4/12/09 . chapter 1 Ashley's birthday BBQ at Twelve Oaks would have been on April 15th, not 16th. The twins mention Ft Sumter (April 12th) as being two days prior, making the first scene April 14th, and the BBQ the 15th. :) "The Yankees may be scared of us, but after the way General Beauregard shelled them out of Fort Sumter day before yesterday, they'll have to fight or stand branded as cowards before the whole world. Why, the Confederacy-" |
Reven Eid 7/1/08 . chapter 3thank you for the info...i picked up the cliffnotes version so i can have a general idea...i did not like Scarlett (the book & movie)...i feel at least based on GWTW movie Scarlett would have gone to Tara and stayed in the US not run off to Europe...wt... |
Mizuni-no-neko 6/22/08 . chapter 1This is not a fanfiction, this site os for fanfiction only and as such this timeline, while entertaining and enlightening, is against the rules. I suggest you take it down and move it to another site before a staff member sees it and you are forced to fance the consequences. (Plus it gets annoying when you go to something and it's not really a story...almost as bad as trying to read a story in chat format.) Disclaimer: This is not a threat, this is a fellow author warning you considering the rules and regulations of the site we all love so much. |
safayi 6/22/08 . chapter 11862 Early February Wade Hampton Hamilton is born June 24th (approx) -The Northern blockade is forcing a shortage of everything in the South. At a fundraiser for the troops, Rhett bids a fortune to dance with Scarlett. 5. Although you can only go by what the books says. A four month interval between Wade's birth and the bazaar seems like an exstreamily short time. I know Scarlets not much for bed rest. but even then. You have her out of bed end of February. Mooping around probably all of March. Then visiting family in April. Back home in May and off to Altanta end of May Early June? No wonder people talk about her. lol |
