Sorry to ask you this, but...I'd like to request something. May you add a chapter about what happens when Doumeki finally tries to cross the gate? Like, before Watanuki knows that he can't go inside? Thanks regardless.

I have just started watching xHolic and yeah, well I'm hooked. Love the intro, love the characters and I fricking love the story. And because of this so called adoration and twoo wuv-feelings I can't possibly have for an anime, I decided to look up on the fanfictions. :D
And here I am, stumbling around in Holic-goodness and quite unliterally fell on my nose on this one. And what I have to say is; I very much love the way you have written this little story. Doumeki with his silent consern and caring, and of course the food and Bentos, (:D) and Watanuki and his flaying around and being permanently exasperated. (mehehehehe) It's great and I can't help but to add this to my collection of adoration and Twoo wuv-feelings-that-appear-when-I-read-darn-good-stuff. Consider yourself favored! (Geeze, I need to make a playlist now, have been playing the same song for far too long..D:)

That was really, really nice. To tell you the truth, I'd never really stopped to consider how Doumeki felt every time he saw Watanuki dissapear inside Yuuko's shop... you dealt with the topic beautifully.
It would make sense that this is where he got his fear of Watanuki 'dissapearing' instead of 'dying'. I'd often wondered at the choice of words, but hadn't made the connection... Very, very good. Really. :)
And you kept them very well characterized... Especially Doumeki, and I *know* how hard to write that guy is.

Well this was strange but interesting to read...I have to admit I never really gave much thought what Doumeki thought/felt about not being able to follow Watanuki into the store and watching him disappear. This was well written and I enjoyed reading it. Loved it!

Absolutely brilliant. Let's go through all the things that I loved about this piece:
1) The concept. I hadn't thought about it before, but it's extremely intriguing. My admiration of Doumeki has actually increased, which I wasn't aware was possible.
2) Barely ANY grammar/spelling errors! I think I love you.
3) It was fantastically in-character.
4) Overall, very well written.

Nice. :D And I wholeheartedly agree with Doumeki. It must be very disconcerting to watch him just vanish like that. (Well, and I would also have eaten all of Watanuki's cookies. No letting good baking go to waste.)
