Okay, this is starting to shape out, but I'm still not sure where you're going with this.

I happen to know what a Blackhawk, a CH47 and an M4A1 are, but then again I'm a retired Army major; I'd say 95% of BtT fanfic readers have little to no idea what you're talking about. It won't hurt to throw in more generic terms like "helicopter" and "rifle" along with the official nomenclature, for the sake of the uninformed!
