Hm, I thought chapter 6: begonia was done very well. I could actually see Lavi thinking that way. Lavi just seems like the type to embrace ugliness with love, and the way you described it seemed so sweet and, well, loving. Though short, I thought you got the theme right across with that little drabble. I have to say that it was probably one of my favourites from this little collection of one-shots. Chapter 7: southernwood, on the other hand, seemed a bit...lacking. I don't know why but I don't think you got much of the theme across. The ending didn't seem to relate to the little abrupt conversation of Lavi saying he would leave once the war ended, and in fact, it felt kind of disjointed. I don't know why but I gained the feeling that you were kind of at a loss as to what to write for this particular flower, and this ended up as a stream of consciousness (which is basically like gambling your luck of 50/50).

Other than that, the writing is still as superb as ever. Though there are tiny mistakes (like missing letters, misspelled words, that sort of thing), it's still a very gentle, beautiful way of writing. It really does remind me of flowers because this story seems so beautiful yet fragile.

I really like these one-shots. They're short, sweet and very to the point. You don't waste any time getting to the moral of the story, and even if you aren't a crazy reader who has to seek the hidden meanings of the story, you still get entertained from the clean, clear-cut writing. You don't go overly mushy or under. Everything is well-balanced with a bittersweet flavour.

The first chapter: Hope. I could really feel Lavi's belief that Allen was alive, and what's surprising is that you were able to pull a small feeling like that, and show it to the world. Though short (amazingly short), it had a good impact and I love the little reference to the Ace of Spades.

Second chapter: Welcome Home. This chapter, keeping with the canon as much as possible, was just vanilla sweet. And sometimes, that's a good thing! It's so sweet and good and by the time you hit the end, you're like "Aw, no more?" I love these little Allen perspective stories. They do so much for you while at the same time do so less. In this case, this chapter dealt with the saying "Less is more". How very true.

Third chapter: Lessons of the Heart. This is by all means my favourite. It's so cute yet sad and heartbreaking. I don't know why, but I have a soft spot for those tragic romances that don't go overboard on the sappiness. Although the story itself was predictable, you played the cards right and the story came out beautiful in a multitude of colours, just like an iris would.

Fourth chapter: Scream. To tell the truth, I wished you somewhat expanded on this idea a bit. It was good, but death should have some type of lingering, painful feeling to it. The lingering, painful feeling was sort of a soft thump and didn't do much for me. But for the lack of words you used to describe everything, I am duly impressed. I could see it all in my mind, and it flowed beautifully.

Fifth chapter: Tulip. Sappy, corny, sweet. Just for every Lavi x Allen fan who love those cute confession scenes. 'Cept this confession scene was done very well without going so...cheesy. Although I didn't like the excessiveness you use for Lavi calling Allen "beansprout" ('cause that just makes it seem that Lavi is more like Kanda at those moments), it was still a nice little story. And the tulip seemed like the perfect flower for it.

Overall, good work on these little moments. I look forward to more though you can't expect long reviews like these all the time! ^^
