I like this one. Some of the phrases you used are just so great- "an unfamiliar, uncomforting voice" and "his loving face from that daybreak implanted itself in my mind forever" are two. I also like the pacing and formal Archadian way that the characters speak.

I may just get into this pairing after all. :)

Still. Love the flashback-style, and how bittersweet all of this is. You write them both convincingly, and this really inspired me. I might do some fanart, even. Also, I really hope you do write more Gabranth/Larsa. The world needs more of them.
