I have a few ideas you can use: 1) the boy could know about the affair and tells his ill mum just as she wakes up from her coma 2) she will pull through and Neil will tell her 3) and i know this sounds really weird and sick but neil could pull the plug on the life support I hope you continue writing fan-fiction , Adam
