The beginning of this story made me think in totally the wrong direction...But I have learned the error of my ways and shall fully read any story I decide to start, because it might be like this, completely fine no matter how it starts!

AHaha! No no, that wife thing cracks me up too... until I added Wufei into the dictionary... I just about died. Wufei and wife...and I was writing a 1x5 too... LOL
Anyways! WOOT! That was very awesome! Poor Wufei! I think his day did turn out to get better in the end but he really needs to work on that self-esteem!! Well, I guess if Heero tells him how hot he is for the rest of his life he'll probably get over it. LOL

Yummy, yummy Wufei torture in the form of collaboration of all pilots. It must have been known by the other pilots that Wufei would be lost, as Heero never fails in his mission objectives.

Sequel? Heero taking Wufei somewhere special?

I'll first give you props up for the title 'Failed Mission': when reading the story to the end you realise that you, as the author, led the reader, the audience, on a wild goose chase.

Second I give you a plus for using the pairing of Yuy Heero & Chang Wufei. I myself find them two of the most hard characters to figure out and correctly keep them in character when writing a story that centers around them. This list also include Treize Krushenada, Millionardo Peacecraft/(Zechs Marquise) & Lady Anne Une.

Suprisingly, in my opinion, you did a commendable job with them.

And as you can see alreaydy I tend to send long detailed reviews (at least when I have the time for it) so I hope you aren't giving up on reading by now.

I'll site the ones that did me in:

1)Wufei always woke up at 0530 in the morning. Period. There was no 0531. [..]He could go to bed with half his body broken and he would still wake up at 0530. But for some strange reason he didn’t wake up at 0530. [..]it It was inexcusable [..]Chang Wufei, Gundam Pilot 05, only survivor of his colony, and all around badass,did not wake up at 0707. [..]It was enough for him to commit ritual suicide.

Wufei has always been very strict in his ways. He's always so controlled like a tight rope. This has to do with his conditioning by his Elders, considering the fate and prestige of the L5 Clan rests in his hands. So it's natural that he would be angry is his 'biological clock' would be disrupted.

2)His apartment was neater than perfect soldier Yuy’s (whose pantry was alphabetized); his books were placed in alphabetical order by author, his spices were arranged so they were placed in order of use, his dirty clothes were always in his laundry basket and his hair ties were placed in the drawer near his bed.)

Then follows the fact that he's a neat freak, control issues, and with the militairy background that's understandable. Next to Yuy he's one of the most controlled person ever.

3) In his ways of conducting missions, considering overly he's very passionate and outspoken. (See: there was a great likelihood of him yelling such phrases as “injustice” and “in the name of Nataku”)

4)Therefore, a second party had to be involved. A second party that was annoying, a pain in the **, and skillful in the art of lock picking.)

And then there is off course the insane thoughts he has of Maxwell tormenting him for all eternity since the day they met.
It's so 'Fei to automatically think of Duo being the sole responsible of losing his hairties, dirtying up his clothing and generally be a pain in the **, even when world apart.

5+6)By the time Wufei managed to wake himself out of his stupor, he realized he had been at work for over an hour, and he hadn’t touch a single piece of work. [..] he pulled out some paperwork and began to work. And, steadily, for an hour, he forgot about the fact that Maxwell could somehow make his life hell when he wasn’t even on the same planet (it was Maxwell’s fault, and no logical reasoning was going to make him see otherwise).

He's also very focused with everything that he does, wether performing katas or 'socializing'with the others to completing missions, one example is where you might've noticed this with his inane fightings with Treize and sense of obligation to Mariameia after murdering Treize. (okay those were 2 but you get my point)

And then last but certainly not least 7+8)
He was short [..] Shorter that Winner short. He did not socialize, nor was he aware of what the general population saw as hot. But surely he wasn’t the epitome of hot. He was 5’5’’, and his hair [..]was far from glamorous. His eyes were dark, and nothing to boast about. [..]he was as ugly as they come.

His deep insecurity about himself and the way he close himself around people as defence mechanism to allow himself not to be hurt. This might've to do with his, in my opinion, abnormal relationship he mad with Long Meiran. But that's just me, seeing ghost where there are none. Ergo: cold, lonely and insecure of his place in the world.


And there is Yuy, since most centers around Wufei you don't exactly see a lot of Heero in the fic. But the times that he's pictured comes out strong and that shows. His whole persona makes you transfixed. Wether this has to do with him making a total uncharacterist comment such as “Nice **,” or have him actually admit to himself that he failed at a mission.
(Yuy would never admit failure; [..] The perfect soldier always strove for perfection.)

Well anyway that's my lists, hope it did any good. Let me know what you think about it, or not, whatever floats your boat.

I have to say... This one-shot was too amazing for words. I had a smile spread across my face for the whole thing.

I love your characterization of Wufei and his temper, it's hilarious how he totally freaks out when things go wrong. Not to mention, it's great that secretly, all the pilots where scheming behind Wufei's back to get him together with Heero. It's always so sweet that way~ *fangirl sigh*

I do believe, I was being VERY immature, and cracking up every time the F-bomb was dropped... This story is a definite instant fav! :)
