"Hiei, you're the only demon I know who willingly reads Voltaire. That in itself is payment enough." That line alone makes the whole ficlet. And of course Kurama knew - Kurama knows everything, how could he not sense Hiei reading his books?

Like you said to me, the play on Hiei coming into Kurama's room to "ask him something" was genius. It's nice to take something that is so overdone and rehash it into something original and fresh. Thank you.

... That is so cute. I could picture Kurama's enjoyment out of the whole thing perfectly. ^_^

I'll admit, the beginning inuendo had me thinking something else, because I'm (shamefully) a die-hard HK fan, but... this was just cute.

And, Hiei's love for words, in and of itself, is beautifully ironic, considering his monosyllabic nature.

Really, you did a great job with this. As I said, I love the idea, it's something quite new and refreshing, not mention cool, and the fic was excellent.
