Harmne 2/26/13 . chapter 22Excellent story, kept me up FAR past when I should have been sleeping. I wanted to murder Pratt as much as Ronan did, could not see how they were going to save Sheppard this time. Great plot twists there at the end, and thanks for Rodney figuring out what was up Pratt's butt about John! Loved the comparison between the team and the HP troop, very apt and one I'd never have thought of! |
Harmne 2/26/13 . chapter 8Great job storytelling - I already want to strangle Pratt myself! |
Peridot5 9/2/12 . chapter 1Wow, this was such a good story. Sheppard's recovery was seriously detailed without being too much, for my taste anyway. You must have done a lot of medical research. And Carter was such a big part of the story, and Zelenka and Lorne, too! Yay! Pratt was fantastically awful. I loved Ronon asking if if Harry Potter killed the Dursleys. And I'm a huge fan of long fics. Really sad it's over, actually. |
Obsessed Pam 6/28/11 . chapter 1I can't believe I have failed to review this amazing story and can only put it down to having downloaded it on to my computer for a long past summer read when I had no internet. However, no excuses - I should have got down to some mega reviewing once I returned to Wifi Land. Enough of abject apologies - on to the important stuff. Can this go down as a CLIFF HANGER of all cliff hangers? Sparkling and bewitching writing that has me totally captivated. |
scifi-karis 6/15/11 . chapter 22Wow ... This was a great story. I can tell you did your research, especially on the medical front as it all seemed very realistic. The whole agony of Sheppard trying to recover isn't what we normally see on the show, but it was great to get into what they wouldn't show us, that our heroes aren't as strong as they would like us to think they are. Pratt was definitely a character I could see popping up on the show, being super annoying, threatening change and just being a guy we love to hate! Really, really great job and I will be on the lookout for more from you! |
AliMay 3/24/11 . chapter 22I loved this story, it was really great and I hope to read more of your work. Keep on writing! |
Lithane 3/19/11 . chapter 22WOW! Very, very well done. I don't know what else to say...;-) |
Lithane 3/18/11 . chapter 10I wasn't going to review until I had read the whole thing, but your last line made me stop. Keller was dead on in her read of McKay, he has always been a good whipping boy for Sheppard. Great work...;-) |
ladygris 3/15/11 . chapter 22Wow! What a story! From the very beginning, you both had me completely captured. I typically don't get into the whole political type thing, but this was so well done I couldn't put it down! And your characters. . . .Not only were the canon characters spot-on accurate (I could literally hear McKay and Carter in my head!), but Pratt was wonderfully created, too! There were times I nearly climbed through my computer screen to throttle the guy! All along, I knew Sheppard hadn't made an error, but the final conclusion was one I hadn't seen coming. The wrap-up was well-done, too. Definitely a story for my favorites list. I know this review comes late, but great work! |
lizlou57 2/19/11 . chapter 22don't know how I missed this one when I read your other stories! Absolutely riveting story that kept me glued to my computer! A real rollercoaster of a ride that had me screaming at Pratt (and how apt is that name!)weeping for John, laughing at Lorne's deviousness and desperate for the team to find some proof of what happened to clear Sheppard. Loved that Radek was the one to provide John with the means to see. Glad that Pratt finally realised that John does what he does 'cos that is who he is - 'it's his job to protect them all' I've never thought of the similarities between Harry Potter and John Sheppard! Interesting and so true! Looking forward to any future collaborations! |
clerical medical 2/16/11 . chapter 22Another masterpiece. Perfectly paced. Lots of realistic whump. Lots of angst. Lots of loyalty and plotting in a good cause. Just how I like it. Thank you so much! |
lightrain 10/25/10 . chapter 22 great story, unbelievable! Writing with style, really a joy to read. |
Shadow Chaser 9/23/10 . chapter 22 Great job with this fanfic you guys. I like the premise and though occasionally felt the medical terminology was way over my head, it was overall, a solid effort. All of the characters were great in their supportive role and the way John rebounded from his depression over Pratt's questioning to still save the day made me happy. The only thing I really didn't like was the way McKay was speaking constantly to Keller. I know he can be a jackass sometimes and kind of callous, but I felt that it was a little too excessive even in his abrasive personality on the TV show. Otherwise, I liked this story and hope to read more collaborations by the two of you. Great job! Btw, I'm too lazy to log in, but I am under a profile under the penname of Shadow Chaser if you want to reply to the review. Thanks! -Shadow Chaser |
Forahr 8/11/10 . chapter 18Oh, wow, I'm speechless here...This is soooooooooooooooo good! I keep whacking myself in the back of my head for actually putting off reading this for months! Simply because of it's length...Well, I've recently finished Red Sands...I now 'do long'. Then, once again, I had this story recommended to me (thank you Kristen!)and I now find my entire day -and night- immersed in this tremendous story. It's like I'm right in the room with the team..I feel almost like I'm ...wow, at a loss for words...um..I can even feel Atlantis humming...in anger actually...I've really got to eat something and get some sleep (am a night nurse...am already nearly 2 hours past my 'bedtime')...I really hate to have to stop reading..will go to sleep trying to figure out how many ways I can gut that Prick guy...oh oh, Freudian slip there...yeah sure...well, till later... |
SGAavidreader 7/26/10 . chapter 22I really enjoyed this story. There are plenty of whump stories out there, but I liked the way that you had John struggle both mentally and physically with his injuries. More often than not he just makes the "I'm good" comment and everyone just shakes their heads. Even at the end when he is so overwhelmed and can't face another surgery, we can see his struggles. This is the first story I have read you have written. I look forward to reading more. |
