“Oh, stuff,” she echoed, nodding solemnly. “It can be rather hilarious at times.”"

I just love this passage. There's something about it.

"Maxwell must go free, darling"

'Rose and Mallory, screaming from the gallery...' Nice.

"“Gee, Officer Krupke” – oh yeah, he totally did just quote West Side Story. And “Gee, Officer Krupke” kinda sounds like a song that Max would sing, doesn’t it?"

It so totally does.

"In any case, he was a lover, not a fighter. Definitely not a fighter."

Aw, Max.

I love the way you write him as this great mix between damaged and light-hearted, which he totally strikes me as in the movie. I love that you pair Kimya Dawson songs with him(particularly "So nice, so smart" in another story) because they just fit the adorable mass of contradictions that is Max.

Can I say how much I love your extra bits of info at the bottom of the stories.
Speaking of which, I was reading through my favorites list and I found Oatmeal Raisin Cookies (shall I squee? I shall squee!) and I don't know how I overlooked this before, but there's a smutty version? Wow! Would you mind sending it to me? I bet it's pretty fabulous.

OK, let's get on with the actual review, shall we? I loved it, of course, as always. Need I go on? I will. I love Max's little quiffs. You're one of the most successful (if not the most successful) when it comes to getting Max's character. "Oh, all of a sudden I ooze?"

I love the song, totally made me laugh.
I'm starting to think that Max/OC might not be so bad. ^^

Hey, this was good. Real good. I liked your character Lizzy; she was an interesting match for Max and they complemented each other nicely. I think you should seriously consider writing more with this character pairing, since you did it in a very convincing manner. Kudos to you and keep on writing, regards,

I was a bit hesitant, at first, to read it, because of the Max/OC pairing. There are SO many on this website it's not even funny. But I'm glad I kept reading.

Lizzy was a great OC. Normally (and I am guilty of this), the OC is mild-mannered and the complete opposite of Max. I LOVED that she was similar. Similar personalities don't always mesh well, but they certainly did. And she was VERY much a female Jude.

Oh, Maxie, so oblivious...*sigh*

I just about burst out laughing when Max said "Gee, Officer Krupke." XD

Anyway, you did a really nice job of making their relationship believable. That's a difficult art to master (and I unfortunately have yet to completely master it :P), and it felt right.
