i loved it it was sad but very subtle it didnt seem like you put too much angst into this one like many have done but you didnt really put none it was a nice mix of sad and hopeful you have their personalities down right and of cource Light unlike the other Kiras had a life before the Kira case and had a whole different attitude torwards L that had been an awful lot more than questionable i usually would whine why the person hadnt made it into a series or ever at least a two-shot but this one ended nicely and it couldnt have gone very far because it wouldnt have much of a plotline it stays true to the plotline of the origional anime - sorry i havent really seen the manga but ive heard it was very good all together youre good at getting someones attention because of creative detail and your other story was good as well and now i will end this stupidly long comment to which i think im having too much fun in wring right now

Decided to have a looksy after your plug on An Apple a Day.
Very sweet, It was like Titanic for me, loved it and hated it at the same time..hating it because it weaseled emotion out of me! XD This IS an admirable little one-shot!

I really liked this-not so very OOC, since love changes people quite a bit and I could always imagine Light being both selfless and selfish in allowing L to live and have himself die...Selfless for giving up his own ideals for his lover and selfish because he didn't want to have to be the one to "pull the trigger."

Quite an awesome one-shot, I seen your shameless self-advertising in your other fic, so I gave it a read.. ;)

wow, I think that was the best death note one-shot I've ever read! I really liked it because it was the first time I ever read a story where L killed Light in the end, and L was left feeling guilty for killing the one he loved. It's usually the other way around since it is after all L who dies in the series. Anyways, AWESOME story!

Okay, my heart hurts from that. It's like when inSM, Mamo-chan went all evil JUST after he and Usagi are all "WAIT! YOU'RE THE ONE I'M IN LOVE WITH!!" That made me cry. THIS made me cry.

I cried hard.. this fic was beautiful. And the concept was lovely. The introductory para was what caught my eye, and I had to re-read it. And the entire fic was amazing... kudos to you for writing this.

Thank you for writing this story. It's so beautiful it made me cry. The first time I read it, and the second time as well. I really love the idea of singing and forgiving, and with that being able to give peace to the deceased. Also, it hurt reading that L, happy about solving a case, forgot about what he was doing to himself and Light in the process. And that Light smiled and forgave L even while he lay dying by lethal injection.. It's the type of love that I think is the most pure. Giving yourself up for another. Of course, they probably will feel guilty (as L does) but at least they will still be alive. And remember you. So while being selfless, you selfishly make the other live in your memory. But truly, that's just my opinion. I love stories that make you feel while reading them, so much that you can feel it stabbing your own heart. And in the end, you sit there, crying and smiling through the tears, because in all that sadness, remorse and guilt is the possibility for happiness. Sometime in the future.
