Its a very beautiful story, and it seems like an apt ending that you've given to Kagome and Inuyasha'a love story. I don't know whether you meant to do this consciously or not, but the last scene reminded me of the last scene in Titanic, when Rose finally dies and joins Jack on the titanic, where he says those very words- "everyone is waiting for us." It was my favourite scene in the movie, and this story is my favourite in the Inuyasha series. Thank you for this.

I like your canon approach. This, realistically, portrays what can happen with the wish of mortality.

Hmm. So Inuyasha turned human...interesting. I usually don't like that idea (What with all the effort that's put into showing Kagome loves him as a hanyou) but I like this take on it. Very sad, and sweet.

Great commentary on the consequences of a hanyou-turned-human. Sad that he was not only not bright enough to make a better wish, but that he then wasted his human life on guilt and self-recrimination. And it seems he denied Kagome some small gestures that would have meant the world to her. But she stuck by him and loved him anyway. And his only way out of the cycle of defeat he had woven for himself was the release of death. Strangely enough, you managed to give it a hopeful, happy ending in that death. It's a wonderful piece.

Inuyasha died right? At least he died in his sleep.

I think this was a pretty good piece. I'm always a sucker for pieces dealing with mortality, and this covered it pretty well. I think Inuyasha's characterization was quite good.

It actually doesn't remind me of my own (assuming mine was the one that inspired you - you probably should say what fic it was) so much as it kind of reminds me of Exitus, by Ainokaachan, which is on this site. You should check it out, because I think you'd like it. Spring Snow is another good one, if you like the genre.
