wolfgirl 2009-11-18 . chapter 1 Sweet. I look forward to your next oneshot. |
BeccaRamsey 2009-09-17 . chapter 1I have absolutely loved the series of Shadow fics you've posted over here, and this is no exception. Given that you've based them on the movie -- also a fave -- the characterizations have been really consistent and believable; I love where you've taken them from the end of the film!
This story was an interesting and pivotal turn. I got the feeling that, in sharing some of his burden with Margo, the weight on his shoulders got a little easier to bear. You've hinted to that, though his past still haunts him. Father Ryan makes a great foil for him, providing a means of spiritual redemption beyond his psionic training. This would be an important part of Lamont finding peace with himself, and you handled it very well. I really look forward to seeing more in this sandbox from you! |
celtcath74 2009-04-21 . chapter 1I just finished this story, and i must say it ranks as one of the best that you have done. Your use of the peaceful Father Ryan is a great balance point to the aggressive nature of the Shadow. Even greater is how through absolution, Lamont's life comes full circle. |

n9voc 2008-09-22 . chapter 1Another incredible story of The Shadow "Movieverse".
I hope you can take the time to put the balance of you Shadow Movieverse stories up on this website - they are ALL excellent. I am a Shadow Fan, and split it four ways: The Shadow of the Street and Smith publications (Shadow A), The Shadow of the long running Radio program (Shadow B) and The Shadow of the 1994 Movie (Shadow C, who is closely related to Shadow B). Your work in filling out the backstory and forward story of "Shadow C" is some of the very best storytelling and writing I have encounterd. "Shadow D - third generation" - Stephen Cranston can be found in the Shadow/Spiderman crossovers written by Scarlet and Stephensmat. |
Seiberwing 2008-09-17 . chapter 1I think this is one of my favorites, mostly for the delicate interplay of the mystery itself and Lamont's inner struggles (and I just like Father Ryan on general principle, I hope to see a bit more of him).
If you write it, I'm greatly looking forward to seeing Margo's awakening and how she handles it--and how Lamont handles her, given that he hasn't got the experience that the Tulku did. |
Heather Allen 2008-06-05 . chapter 1 I really enjoy your stories and look forward to more adventures. Keep up the awesome work. |
