I don't know whether to be depressed that the much feared downward spiral occurs or thrilled that he managed it with and through her for so long. There was something close to peace in the mental lacking. There was beauty in the deaths. Together, that's the key.

The thing I love most about this story is the way your writing is at the same time gorgeously rich and absolutely transparent, so the artistry never gets between the reader and the story. it's just heartbreakingly beautiful and captures not just the characters of the show, but some deep truths about love and loss as well. thank you very much for writing it.

That made me cry...but it was really good. There's something about old couples who you see and know they still really love each other...it also seems to be a rare thing. Very sweet.

Okay, this story is...really heart wrenching. It reminds me of the story of the Japanese Akita who, after his master died, still went to the train station every day wating for him and wouldn't leave until dusk, only to return the next day, always waiting. Alex is like this in your story, I think.
