Did he get captured just before he was to go stateside and attend med school? YOu asked for suggestions of character grief? Everyone grieves in their own way, but I do imagine this whole thing will tear Hawkeye up inside, and he will not be able to keep it bottled in forever. The jokes might start coming faster and more furious until BJ or Potter senses he's not clowning around. They get him to stop, andhe looks to them with the widest most terrified eyes you could ever see. Then he may break down, even confessing that he's a father. Just a thought. |
