Very good - although there's a certain amount of internal evidence that he wasn't quite alone. Slughorn seemed to have remained friendly towards him (he's speaking amiably and calling him Severus when McGonagall and Flitwick are abusing him), and you woudn't think that the trick of giving these three detention with Hagrid and then putting about a rumour that he'd had them horribly tortured would work unless Hagrid was in on it.

And for his reward--well, we saw what he got. He was forced into it all, put up with it because of his love for Lily--and dumped like old garbage when he wasn't needed any more by both sides.

Could you write him a nice afterlife? Thanks!

Great Snape-centric piece, I loved it! You really captured Snape's character in this one-shot, kudos to that :)

Really really good. You missed a few commas here and there, and there were a few awkward sentences--basically, it could have used one more edit--but other than that, it was great!
