Honestly, I like reading romantic Joker/HQ relationship story but I never mind reading the realistic one like this.
Also, I have to say that yours is the best one. It shows the real Joker and Harley. Great job.

thank you for writing a story which stays true to the nature of these characters and respecting readers enough to portray them in situations that go beyond the basic romance novel cliches. please keep writing there should be more honest writers out there like you.

A very interesting take on Joker and Harley's relationship, but my opinion on your Joker is you only got one layer. Joker is way to complex to just base him on one emotion he has many, many sides to him; he's a human onion and so therefore Joker and Harley's relationship is going to be so.

I see Harley and Joker's relationship as a huge rollercoaster of anger, hate, happineess, joyfulness, and frivolity, "Gameplay" by Princessebee has a more "realistic" view in my opinion; it had all the elements rolled into one. Even many creaters of Joker have said that he possesses feelings for Harley; deep down in the recesses of his heart. He's merely learning these alien feelings through Harley. Also, many creaters have mentioned that all of Batman characters are diverse and can mold to situations. So, if many successful creators have managed to do this...there is no wrong or right way to writing a character including Joker and Harley. I personally have not read a story on here that has been that out there to attack other fans and their creativity.

Also, male loins do not go into heat. Just wanted to correct you on that.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your realistic portrayal of the Joker and his relationship with Harley. There are so many romantic portrayals of him that make me want to throw up!! It makes me think that all women are groupies...

Anywys, great job and great writing!

I thought this was an excellent take on the story, one that actually kept who the characters truly are in mind!

This was BEAUTIFUL!

It was real. It was raw. It was JOKER!

I admire you greatly for your honesty and your need to "tell it like it is"...

You get a */* (that's 10/10 stars)

I enjoyed this thoroughly. It stays so true to the characters and their actual relationship. Sometimes it's nice to dream that their relationship would be better, but this is what it is. I love it.

The note at the bottom says it all. Thank you for writing this and rocking the boat. Jagger's quote is awesome too.

I can see it happening that way.

How weird...I literally just read this story 20 min. ago on and wanted to say what a great portrayal it is. How could the Joker and Harley's relationship be anything but one sided and abusive? She's so hopelessly enamored with him that he could never have any real feelings for her, let alone respect. Kudos for you.

I love it. I think their relationship is exactly like this.

Dude, I totally just spilled Spaghetti-O's all over myself. In a good way.

This was extraordinary. I can't wait to read more of your work. Good job, very good job.

Well, well, well.

I have refrained myself of reviews lately, but I think that this vignette deserves my comment, because it caught my attention. What you tried to do here is very interesting, and though you understand that the odds are against you, I commend you for your courage.

Why am I saying this? Well, for starters, many people have debated if there is a relationship between these two characters, and the have brought exhibits after exhibits of why Harley loves Joker...what nobody has stopped to think is...does Joker love Harley at all?

He has tried to kill her several times, beaten the crap out of her in innumerable occasions, and demonstrated he has no feelings for her or anybody. Psychopaths by definition are unable to express normal emotions and are incapable of feeling empathy for fellow human beings. In one simple phrase...Joker can't love ANYBODY at all.

Unfortunately that is not a view shared by many. They still want to fantasize in the romance between a psychopath and his henchwoman. That makes a good story or two, but if one wishes to portray a realistic view of the Clown Prince of Crime, one has to understand how the psyche of such a man would work.

I think in that you have succeeded. This is what a psychotic Joker will be like, sorry if the fandom doesn't like it. They can continue imagining a relationship where there is none, but to me, a real Joker will be so full of hate, anger, and of himself (let's face it, the guy is a narcissist) that there is no space for much else...maybe only for his obsession of outwitting the Dark Detective.

I know I sound harsh. And I have to admit I like some of the fantastic stories of love and pain between Joker and Harley, but I dont lose perspective on who Joker is. And Joker is a psychopathic mass murderer. I love realism, and I think that your portray, though short, is pretty close to the real Joker. That is how Joker would behave like if he was a real person...

Be prepared, this story is going to shake the foundations of many people, and fires will erupt. But I see this as a creation out of the mold. A new vision on an old classic.
