Hmm...I actually LIKED the live action movie. Something different and unique rather than the same old drab 'standard' that most movies are these days. I enjoy movies to stand out. TIME magazine agrees and made SPEED RACER one of the top 10 movies of the year.

So, wait, lemme get this straight . . . you didn't like the movie? Ah well . . . . I was so excited for Speed to come to the big screen, and then I missed the opening weekend, heard some pretty bad WOM, and now I've decided to wait until it comes to DVD.

I've gotta say, I don't venture too much beyond HP stories, but I did take a peek at this one, and I was cracking up. I did hear they kinda mucked around with the story, so imagining Speed and The Go Team going to the movie tickled my funny bone!

Sorry I couldn't R&R last night but due to various happenings, I am now in a rehab hospital following a fall...but enough of that...

I was waiting for you to contribute something after your review to me of the movie and now you have and I have to say it was brilliant, providing me with much needed laughs from the get go...Dr. Suess on acid? (Incidently when he was alive, he was an ordained minister)

From the arrival of the Go Team on the Red Carpet complete with a tux clad Speed flirting with beautiful women (why you guys refer to formal wear as "monkey suits" I'll never know...I think a man in a tux is very appealing) and Trixie's obvious reaction, to Spritle and Chim-Chim trying to clean out the snack bar you had me in stitches...

And with the CAT and Captain Terror (can the man be any more redundant?) and Snake being the belligerent scum they are I KNEW that a brawl would take place with everyone involved. Loved that Mom Racer aimed a well-deserved knee in the nuts at Terror for trying to pick her up while the barrage was taking place...you go Girl!

And I loved the Brooklynese bystander getting his two cents in and the Wachowskis exiting the theatre like rats leaving a sinking ship was the capper of a truly terrific read.

I agree with Jen...I LOVED the movie...seen it 5 times!

this was funny, if not totally out of character...the line about Snake looking like a pimp on the NASCAR circuit just cracked me up since I live near a NASCAR track and have worked at it.

Please give the movie another chance, the first time I saw it I was kinda duh, but the more I see it the more I love it!

First - I have to tell you that I did love the movie. However, I had a horrible day today, and to escape, tonight I came here and found this. I laughed so hard that I thought it would only be fair to let you know that I enjoyed this. Captain Terror was priceless. Thanks for the fun read. It was extremely entertaining. And please don't bounce a box of pop corn off of my face because I did actually love the movie.
