Interesting perspective, it reminds me of when Charmander evolved in the first season. I don't really percieve Pokemon's evolution in the same way as you, but that doesn't change the face this is very well written. Nice angst here, the last line was my favorite. Keep writing!

Well, I can't say I totally agree with this. Pokemon that evolve do NOT loose their memories or only live for ighting. Look at Ash and Bayleaf, for gosh sakes! Anyways, hard to do any constructive critisism on poetry but thats just my opinion.

When i reads this,I thinks of Ash as the trainer and Pikachu as the pokémon.(Charizard,Pidgeot are the evolved forms and Ash looked soooooooo happy when Butterfree evolved.)

Pokemon eveolve in the wild without human help (as you've pointed out very often) and I think pokemon DO retain there memories of their previous form.
