That's the song I would use for this piece.

"feeling their warmth heal the jagged edges of the wounds my shattered broken pieces had created." was the part that echoed over and over again in my head... It reminded me of a saying i read somewhere on ffn, to be careful when you pick up the pieces because they're sharp.

The ending... maybe it would sound better if you take out the last sentence. yeah, if you leave it at "...as the rain slowed to a halt." it sounds better if you end it there.
