You did an excellant job of writing this scene. If Roy had been in town when Maes was murdered he would have been the one to break the news to Gracia. He would have done in with a solemn repectful style. Poor Gracia...it is so hard to lose that special someone. I still cry in the anime when Elysia is at her father's funeral and she cannot understand what is happening to her father. That scene still has the power to haunt me. I am tearing up while typing this. I love what you did with the story. I have not seen the Dark Knight yet but this oneshot stands on its own.
