 detective_sweetheart 2008-07-14 . chapter 10 Wow.
Just...wow. This was really great, and I enjoyed it a lot. Nice job. :D |
Elisabeth Carmichael 2008-06-22 . chapter 10Agh! What's going on! Is she having a heart attack? Is she dead? Is that Jack! Tell me! Or not. If you want to end it here, well, I leave it up to the artist. But I certainly would not mind more! So wonderful! |
Elisabeth Carmichael 2008-06-22 . chapter 9Oh my, so tragic that she's been there so much longer than everyone else. What a beautifiul image of resetting the scene back to yesteryear. I tried to review through chapter 8 the other day and it wouldn't let me, so let me just say I love it image of Claire with grey in her hair. Just so wonderful! |
Metalchick36 2008-06-22 . chapter 10Very good chapters! It looks like Claire's about to reunite with Jack. |
Teyerin 2008-06-21 . chapter 10*Very* powerful collection here and I love the details you use to show the passing of time - small yet significant. Thank you for sharing this! |
Vah Isis 2008-06-21 . chapter 10Gee, this was so beautiful and sad! In just a few words you finished this strong and gorgeously. |
mccoylover 2008-06-20 . chapter 9God, I'm going to cry! So sad, so moving...and done in so very few words! |
Metalchick36 2008-06-20 . chapter 8Good chapter, Claire probably would've made it to EADA if she were still alive. |
mccoylover 2008-06-20 . chapter 8Those references to Jack work perefectly in showing the reader that, even now, he is a constant in her thoughts. |
mccoylover 2008-06-20 . chapter 7Nice details to mark the passage of time. |
Metalchick36 2008-06-19 . chapter 6Very sad! makes me want to cry too! |
Elisabeth Carmichael 2008-06-19 . chapter 6Aw, I am so glad you decided to continue with this!! I absolutely love it! Oh how amazing! You capture the grief so well. The short chapters really lend themselves to the content, the pain, the despair. And I love the thought of Claire drinking whiskey even though it doesn't taste the same as it did on his lips! Agh, too precious!
Love it! |
mccoylover 2008-06-19 . chapter 6I think this is the most powerful chapter yet. Pausable and the connection reference is one I didn't see coming. But you are always good at keeping one step a head of your reader.
I didn't think it could get any sadder...but it does! |
EnforcerAndAccuserFan 2008-06-18 . chapter 2It's interesting that she "sees" Jack. Other television shows and movies depict people seeing their dear departed. In your story it's called a symptom of grief. (Maybe that's what Mike Logan was experiencing when he saw a murdered woman briefly through a bar window. Subsequently he sought help from Dr. Olivet-of course!)
Keep up the good work. |
EnforcerAndAccuserFan 2008-06-18 . chapter 4You show Adam's empathy for Claire when he "sighs, suddenly looking old." One suspects he's also reflecting on his own residual feelings regarding Jack's passing.
It's obvious that McCoy will not be far from Claire's thoughts for a long time, at least not until she, in her own opinion, surpasses him as a jurist. Working towards that goal appears to be her way of working through her grief and coping with life without Jack.
This is an excellent piece in which you say so much in a few short paragraphs. Keep up the good work. |
