Brilliantly written. And I'd love to bang their heads together, but you showed how easily they ended up where they did. Goran is about as emotionally open as the average wombat and pushed Eames further than most would have coped with. For all that he's had a hard time of it, he didn't trust her and nearly caused her to KILL HIM! In her shoes, I wouldn't be so forgiving, but that's why the team is Goran & Eames, not Goran & Dimac! Fantastic and a compelling read. Now hopefully she'll kick some butt over his rat problem ;-)

This was the first work of yours, and in fact one of the first Criminal Intent fics, that I ever read, way back when I was just starting to get really obsessive about the fandom. I'm ashamed to admit it, but in my foolish and callow youth (read: not quite a year ago) I regarded Eames as nothing more than this person who would sometimes be inexplicably talking when Goren could have been talking. After watching 'Purgatory' and then reading this and a few other fics, I was slowly started down the road towards lifetime membership in the Alex 'Categorical Badass' Eames Fanclub. :) So thanks, for helping lift me out of woeful ignorance of her awesomosity.

I think this is one of the best post purgatory ffs I've read so far, and I'm not saying that just to be nice. Most of them just have them magically talking again (mine included-I think...), but yours offers an explanation as to how they actually started to talk again. I do love it,

So great. I've wondered how well they got along between Purgatory and the "Henry Kissinger" ep... They seemed okay with each other, but who knows how much time passed between the eps. o.O

ANYway. Very great. I liked the part about the water bottle, and then cringed when she went back to being ticked at him. The rat part was kinda...weird, and maybe she could have mentioned it earlier, but the way you did it worked, too. And it's your fic, and it's awesome, and I'm going to stop rambling now and go read something else. ^^;;

I think that this story is very well written, but I have a whole different take on things. In my opinion, and this is just mine, Alex just needs to get over it. So he didn't call her, big deal. Personally, I'm angry at HER. I don't think she is much of a friend if after all he's been through, she has to put him through more. Some friend. The only mess their partnership is in is because of her. Get over it Eames.

Excellent story...both of them falling apart and too stubborn, and too clueless without each other, to do something about it.

OMG! I think I'm going to cry. God, this was so sad. Broke my heart because I could actually see every grueling moment of it. God, I just want to hug them both and then smack them. Talk to each other. I totally understand Alex's anger. I'm angry with him. I'm so glad it's starting to thaw here. I wish we'd get a moment, somehow, like this. They need it. They desperately need it. I miss them, and anything that could get them back on the path of how things used to be would be great in my opinion.

Well dang! I'm usually in Alex's head but you conveyed everything that Bobby could be thinking so effortlessly. I love the harshness of Eames' reaction, and your style of sentences are rambling like Goren's thoughts, and it all ends up coming off just as thier thoughts should be: worried, stressed, hurt and a myirad of other things all in one.

You summed up the UST perfectly, no easy task with these characters. And you left the ending open - something true and cononistic and, well, just a plain favorite of mine.

Wonderful job. This is probably one of the best post-Purgatory fics I've read and I look forward to more from you. We all have a take on the effects of that episode, and you convey a LOT of the things I was thinking about doing. Bravo! You made me think and I love that in fic.
