Forgive me for not signing in, but you can probably guess who this is ;D. THIS. WAS. SO. INCREDIBLY. hot. not my favorite pairing, but who doesn't appreciate a good natnao every now and then haha. Though I'm surprised that Natsuki didn't figure out sooner that it wasn't Shizuru. Some lover she is! Can't even tell the difference between the two bodies! But besides that :) well written as always... you know how much I love your detailed writing. "smirk over her shoulder and blow a kiss" that is so Nao btw! LOL! DAMN YOU NAO. poor Natsuki... and I would have never known what a tabard was. hehe.. thanks for showing me this as always. Good luck on those other stories! and I'm glad that you don't do the whole "kami-sama..." :)

Oh, you've made me one very happy reader! I adore Nao as a character, and to see her explored in a fic with Natsuki is just too sweet. There is not nearly enough variation in this fandom, so I applaud you for bringing some variety to the minority who appreciate non Natsuki/Shizuru only stories. Unfortunately I found this story through the Natsuki/Nao community, so I knew the surprise twist going into it, but it still didn't detract from how well you had written the scene. You also dealt with a big hurdle in writing Natsuki/Nao -- how to explain Shizuru away. Now, don't get me wrong, I do like Shizuru, it's just difficult to find these stories where her character and situation is not butchered for the sake of the story.

I love that you've managed to keep them both in character. Natsuki, loyal creature that she is, would not just forget Shizuru because she wasn't around, and Nao wouldn't be any less cunning or vicious than she is by nature/nurture. ;) I also did love that you made it abundantly clear who the 'mystery Otome' was without mentioning her name once.

One little thing I will point out that I found a little jarring:

"How dare this girl make me feel... trade abusive insults and threats."

It just sounded a little bit Ms. Exposition.

I do hope you write more in the way of Natsuki/Nao, whether it be a continuation/sequel or a new beast entirely. The fandom is lacking good Natsuki/Nao stories, and I adore your writing style.

Oh wow, that was brilliant, i was completely shocked at the end of this =S
Nao was disturbingly in character at the very end there too, i can so imagine her sauntering out of there. Really great story, had you considered continuing on with this? even as a seperate story because i like this one as a one-shot, it works nicely.

It seems people doesn't like to write Otome fanfiction of them at all even when there's lot more oportunities to write about it in that enviroment than in Mai HiME's. I wonder why.
