And you can't just say that you can make the characters do whatever you want and others can't say anything about it because this is FANfiction, and you have to make them true to their characters in the books/anime/whatever. And anyway, if you look at the bottom of the review box it says: It is extremely helpful to use this opportunity to comment on an aspect of the story that can be improved. A well rounded critique is often the most rewarding tool for the writer. A writer should learn from criticism, not get angry and abuse the critic. But whatever, I'm used to it. Buh-bye now.
Fanfic Shark 2008-07-26 ch 2,	abusePfft. What do you think the "Reply" or quote bubble underneath the usernames were for anyway? Their purpose is for the author to reply to the reviewer. Slipping in an unneccesary chapter as a rebuttal is a sign that you are unskilled in managing your own account. Which doesn't surprise me since you just joined in March. And seriously, when a reviewer gives you criticism, you are suppose to LEARN from it, not have a total spazz-attack over how you think the reviewer is wrong and you are right. I will now quote Dishrag-chan's review: "It's too short. There's not really any substance to it, and Tohru is NOT the type of person to poison someone and think nothing of it. It was random though, but that doesn't mean it's very good. Get a beta and rethink this oneshot." They're right. First of all, just because it is a one-shot doesn't mean that it HAS to be short. I've seen plenty of One-shots where there were as many as 10,0 + words. A One-shot counts as a single chapter, smarty-pants, so just because a story is short doesn't make it a one-shot. Secondly, there really is no context/plot to it other than to kill Akito. My baby cousin could do that and he's only nine! WHAT is the purpose of this one-shot anyway? Is it Tohru visiting Gaia and learning that Death Gods love to eat apples? Or is it the actual murder of Akito that is meant to be the plot? Thirdly, I hate to break it to you, but you must not have read any of the manga or watched even an episode of the anime because if you HAD, then you would have understood that Tohru is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of how you've portrayed her in your story. She is a kind, sensitive and well-mannered girl who would NEVER think twice about killing Akito much less any other person. You should seriously consider re-reading/re-watching Fruits Basket so you can get her persona right. So follow the advice of a ff .net member whose been on this site longer than you have and get a Beta-reader. Otherwise, say hello to your fic's resting place: Furuba Fanfiction: HoS.
