Yay! Loved this story the first time I read it and upon second reading I have to say it just gets better. I had time to savor the writing and word choices along with the plot. Wow. Just. Wow.

Since Chloe's senators in the real world would have been Brownback and Roberts, she'd have been better off calling Dean and Sam.

Well done! I find myself continuously tormented by Smallville. On the one hand, I've been watching it all of these years, and the loyalty keeps me there, but on the other hand, they've turned the story into such a soap opera that the entertainment value has dwindled. Yes, they finally got rid of Lana (thank god!), but I won't be happy until they buck canon and get rid of Lois as well. A happy pairing they do not make as Lois just hasn't become a likeable character for me, but Chloe... the people of Smallville struck gold with her character, and the actress is phenomenal. If chemistry is what they want, chemistry is what they found in Chloe and Clark and I'm happy to see that end explored in any way possible.

You've done a wonderful thing with this story in tying up loose ends in a way that just makes perfect sense. To call Martha and her uncle is such a logical conclusion that it hurts the credibility of the show to have such an intelligent person miss that option. And to have her so willing to risk everything to go to Clark, to help Clark - very in-character for the character that I love. Best of all, to have Clark trust her so implicitly, and still be blind to what's standing before him, to have Chloe buck the temptation offered by the globe, and to have her destroy it for eternity and continue to wait for Clark... ah, well here's hoping for the slim possibility of a happy ending for all of us Clark/Chloe fans. I have to admit, their scenes are the only reason that I keep watching.

SO I CAME ACROSS THIS LITTLE STORY AND I LOVEDD IT!! I LOVE HOW YOU KEPT CHLOE SO IN CHARACTER AND THE LITTLEDIG TOWARDS DEAN WINCHESTER! tHAT WAS HIM RIGHT? N E WAYS I LOVED HOW CHLOE SMASHED THE BLACK BALL OF DOOM! IT SHOWS JUST HOW DEVOTED TO HIM SHE WAS AND HOW LONG SHE'LL WAIT FOR HIM TO FLY BACK TO HER! 10/10

Wow; just wow. I love the whole concept of your story. Chloe has so much strength, self-control and especially love (for Clark). Its not every day you get the answer to your heart literally given to you as a nice little gift. But Chloe always does the right thing for Clark and has proven so many times she can be loved and trusted.

I like the whole "waiting" theme as well. The more I thought about it, the more I indeed realized Chloe has been waiting for things all her life -- but all she really wants is Clark. Hopefully (in the show), they'll cultivate a greater love for one another than a normal romance. I haven't read a fanfic in a while, but I'm glad I did and I'm glad it was yours. Thanks.
