Wow! What a BEAUTIFUL story! Your style and imagery are just stunning. I LOVE your characterizations, especially of Kanda and his whole friendship issues. One of them (Lavi, Kanda, Allen) should run away for a bit! Everyone loves runaways! Looking forward to the next chapter, I can't wait to see what happens!

Hm... I absolutely love your story! I'm thinking it would be cool to have some Cross in here, as Allen's father figure from the army. Also with Komui and Lenalee (though i'm not sure if they could be doctor/nurse or a commander/allen's friend) keep up the good work!

I just got to read this and I'm hooked! This was awesome and touching. So many scenes that were sweet despite the bitterness of the situations. And I liked how the friendship between Kanda and Lavi, and then Lavi and Allen built up.

So, it seems like Lavi has done enough bonding with both Allen and Kanda, so I'd also like to see how Kanda and Allen's relationship would grow. Both of them have become attached to Lavi so much, so it'll be nice if they'll get attached to each other too :)

well i like it and never thought about it this way, how one thing can be disgusting for one and good for the other, while allen absorbs the sounds kanda hates them and lavi wishes he could hear them...
i guess i can understand kanda and lavi, cause my father can't hear and speak xD i know this hand signs are hard to learn and reading lips is something really hard... because some people tend to speak to fast or not clear enough to understand everything...

poor allen i really pitty him being so young a soldire and hated by the others except for Lavi and "Kanda" well... i hope you go on like this ^^ i'm excited to read on xD

Awesome, as always. Your details are phenomenal, imagery is beautiful, and your metaphors are deliciously amazing. I loved this entire chapter because of the interactions between all three of them (Kanda's jealousy was my favorite, but Allen's dependence on Lavi was great as well)! It's really coming along nicely and I hope to see lots more in the future.

stupid old people. with their evil canes of walking and hitting. and even then, if i was an old guy, i would NOT take on someone who lives and breaths fighting, like oh say, a SOILDER.

but hey, at least lavi and kanda aren't beating him up for that.

Ah, yes. I've been waiting for this to update ever since I discovered it, I'm so glad you've not abandoned it.. it's one of the greatest angst fics I know of.

What would happen in a big thunderstorm? Allen could hear the thunder, but not know exactly what it was and his war memories could send him into a panic about explosions and flashbacks... Lavi wouldn't be able to hear it, but he could probably sense the building shaking if the storm was bad enough, especially if one of the windows was blown in, making him panicky as well. Kanda would be the only one to understand what was going on, but seeing the others in panic and trying to calm them down would get him frustrated,a nd the nurses working with other patients... Something like a Cat.3 hurricane would make for a very interesting scene.


Poor Kanda, he feels lefft out. I enjoy that you made Lvai retain his bookman knowledge. I enjoy that very much.
