Stan Winston?

Stan Winston was a credit to the visual effects world and one day deserves that lifetime achievement award. He should have gotten it before he died, if he didn't. This story just about had me sad from the first section. Great story! He would surely be proud to have been mentioned in such a heart-felt way.

I did not recognize the name and had to look it up. Nice tribute, once I understood who you were talking about.

Woah; I hadn't heard that Stan was gone until after reading. Thought it was going to be Sparkplug's funeral at first.

And indeed - I think his legacy in the Art will continue on.

I looked up Stan Winston's name after reading this as I didn't recognize the name, and was surprised by how many works I've seen and heard of where he has been involved. For the ones I've seen and can remember clearly, he certainly had a gift for making effects seem real. A very well done tribute.
