Nice! My idea is stick witht he movie, but for a twice try to have Shang Tsung to seprate you two. Or have the others be a little too suspiuos. Not bad though.

The only tips on where you could go from now, are maybe meeting with the other competitors in the tournament and then just following the plot of the film.
If you're really stuck, just get out a piece of paper and a pen/pencil and start brain-storming. Write out a story outline.
That's what I do when I'm stuck.

wow! i would love to see how they survive this! nice story, but you should do a new paragraph for every new person that talks, or the dialog. In one of my fanfics someone said that and it really is necesary. Hope I helped...Keep up!
