A happy ending! Except for our villian, who had that coming. I loved the story! I'd like to read more out of the ordiary stories from you! Though even though you're not making a sequal, I'm curious about this Project Hawk.

Feeling like a kid with a sugar rush, Legair

Well, I know it's been a long time since Chapter 2 was posted, but I definitely did not see it coming that the new discovery on Monster Island was a human - let alone a human raised by kaiju. You deserve props for coming up with the concept alone, but then you took the concept and made a great story out of it (as if you could ever make a bad story in the first place). Maya is exactly what I'd imagine someone would be like if they were raised by kaiju (incidentally, she also reminds me a bit of the little Skull Island girl from King Kong 2005), and the way the story plays out is also exactly what would happen in that situation. One of the best things about the story, something you pointed out several times, is that it doesn't follow the traditional formula you'd expect for a Godzilla fan fiction - or film, for that matter. You've taken a story medium familiar to us all and told a story that, essentially, hasn't been done before. And yet even as you do that, you also incorporate enough familiar elements (kaiju aren't truly kaiju unless they destroy stuff) to make sure you didn't stretch that idea so far that it was rendered ineffective. In particular, I was impressed very much about how you kept the moral of the story the same as the others, even though you were telling a very different story. That takes skill. Overall, a well-written, enjoyable, and exceedingly original story. Two thumbs up.

You should be a professional novelist. I haven't read a Godzilla story this good since that novel series they released back in the late nineties. And consider this, I'm not done reading this yet but I just couldn't wait to tell you how much I'm enjoying your story. ^_^

Pretty good story. I liked how it flowed though I was wanting Birchwood to be dismembered. Just one question is still in my mind, how did Mata get on Monster Island in the first place?

Cool, we got a little destruction in here. Birchwood was a * and deserved what he got. I guess that wasn't soft water down there, hee-hee. Actually, Birchwood reminded me of the dipstick scientists from the movie "The Thing" (the 1952 version, not John Carpenter's crappy remake). Who cares if a bunch of people die, so long as knowledge is advanced.

Oh, one typo I caught, "Master" instead of "Maser."
