i know this review is hideously overdue, but when i first read it i didn't have an account. now i have one and i've re-read it, i can quickly review! i hope you know how gifted you really are! this story both broke and warmed my heart! it was so beautiful! The way you blended Kaname's childish innocence and intelligence together was SO well done. Seeing Kaname so absolutely innocent and young was beautiful to read. I felt so sorry for him! He was so hungry and hurting, but he was trying so hard to hide it.

There's so much i could comment on and talk about in this fic. But if i do that i'll be going on forever and this review will turn into one long stream of consciousness! *laughs*. Essentially, it was a beautiful glimpse into Kaname's childhood, his mind, his parents, and what made him the man he is today. It was lovely seeing Kaname being taken care of by his mother like that; and to see the utter love his mother had for him. It made me feel extremely sad at the thought of little Kaname finding his parents dead the way he did, especially his mother; and to have to literally watch it happen later on in life in CD. Thank you so much for writing this fic (and all your others!!) it was wonderful.

I love your writing; your "Crimson Door" backstories in particular are very cute. I hope you write more in the series - your take on vampirism is an interesting one, and the dynamics of a polyamorous relationship leave so much room for plot development!
