So bittersweet, I loved it.

Oh I really liked this, and I don't usually like poetry. A quick word of advice? If you ever want to make something like this part of a larger one-shot or story line, just make it so River is telling the story. She is such an intricate character you can do almost anything with her. For example, she could have written this in anticipation or after Mal and 'Nara's wedding. It could have been written just to egg them on in the months after Miranda a.k.a pinned up everywhere around the ship with no signature, lol. She could have written it to distract her from her own yearning, for whoever. Or she could have written it in memory of them after thier deaths. These are just a few options, and all you would need to add is a begining or ending paragraph or both. Anyway just a thought. Really well done. OOh after thought... She could have written it as a healing exercise, seperating emotions and such, and you could add poems about other members of the crew, now that I would love to see.

That is nice. I like it a lot. Kind of sad, but those two are kind of tragic.
