Xanthe Z. Young 2009-01-17 . chapter 1Wow. Thank you someone for writing about the book. I looked up the book but they didn't have it so i've been trawling through anime stories looking for a Micheal rather than a Markl, maybe the mention of a Hatter sister, or a blue Calcifer? Now i find this and you can write too, you can sue words. I loved this.
Well i've only read the first chapter but i had to comment, i'm impressed, you actually managed to stay in keeping with Diana Wynne Jone's charectors. There was onyl one line that seemed out of place. 'why arn't you wearing a dress lady?' that sounds more like the kind of thing Markl might say, Micheal is infuriatingly polite- always.
You may have noticed i'm a fan of the book. Which do you prefer then book or film? I loved the book and i read it first so when i saw the film i couldn't cope with a non-welsh howl or a pure kind and gnerally sickeningly polite Sophie. lets face it, Sophie in the film would never abandon Howl, she's so dependant and insecure.
Anyway thank you for this. I'll have to end it here because i desperately want to read more but please i'd love to talk to anyone who has read my favourtie book of all time and is a fellow writer like myself (i don't write on here because i can only write my own charectors, i can't do fanfiction) so please conntact me, my e-mail adress is .uk .
Again thank you for writing about the book, i do love those charectors and the more i can read about them the better, even if it means not reading from the words of Diana Wynne Jones.
By the way have you read Castle in the Air or House of Many Ways, those are the two sequels they are just as good so if you haven't please do. |
Ann Nonymous 2009-01-13 . chapter 1 Well, SOMEBODY ought to review this! It's hardly any wonder you update so slowly! This is one of the more interesting twists on the "Sophie leaves Howl" basic plot structure. I must admit, I'm curious. Nosy, you might say, about this Ophelia. Rather Shakespearean, that. |
