I put this on alert ages ago, just because I was a little curious about where you'd take it, but after reading this chapter I had to review it!
Your plot so far sounds interesting and your characterisations are enjoyable. (And I think you're making me like Paulie/Vivi and, damnit, I don't need any more crack pairings! :P)
Also, despite your lack of grasp of politics (me too, btw), the last scene played out nicely--you're writing the tension between Lucci and Kaku very well.
