2009-11-04 . chapter 30
Well, I just read this *finally*. I kept meaning to, but generally I would see it when I didn't have enough time to read such a long story and then I would forget about it until I saw it on someone's rec list again, always of course when I had no time... Anyway, last night I finally sat down and started it and it was well worth the wait. It was FANTASTIC! I really enjoyed the fact that you made it a case-fic, and a well plotted one at that. Thank you - I'm off to read the sequel. :-)

Sorry, I didn't log in. I just recently made an account after reading this story.

Your story is very much like a written episode almost. And almost like it has a "to be continued" part to the episode. Like the next episode will be up shortly after this cliffhanger. Which is what I like about it. It shows the full view of a case, as well as the relationship between Liv and Alex. And therefore, gives the audience some hope for seeing their relationship develop as the cases go on.

I kind of like it continuing as it is, just due to the fact that at least it's not a story where you have them meet and then you make another story where they're younger or already togther. Not saying there's anything wrong with stories like that, because they give a different perspective on things, but I liked the story being this way, with a beginning, middle and end -- but having a new episdoe or sequal or whatnot.

And actually, one of my favorite parts was when you said this in your writing: “Sorry, detective. Spousal privilege won’t save you until you marry me.”

It kind of made me think that there relationship was going to go in depth in your future stories. Plus I love the way that you make the way alex talk, sound almost as if it really was her talking on the tv. Big words, smart, etc.

And when I was talking in my other review about how I never really thought of liv and alex together. I really didn't until now. I actually came fanfiction when alex came back on the show for the few episodes that she's there and now I'm rewatching all episodes that alex is in from seasons 2-5. I'm noticing how her and liv interact with eachother. And not that there relationship in the show goes anything beyond co-workers/friends/etc. but it always looks like alex is looking at liv for approval for some reason. Not in the sense that she thinks she's doing something wrong, but almost in the sense that she doesn't want to be the only female going somewhere with the guys.

You could almost do some writing where liv has to be alex's body guard or even teaches alex how to defend herself since liv is the one that knows how to defend herself and alex doesn't. Or how they have to kind of keep their relationship a secret from craigen or IAB because they work so closely together and that's not allowed in the same presinct. Either way, I love the cases and the depth of where there relationship is going.

And sorry to comment again, I couldn't get enough of your story and I just wanted to respond to your login comment. Keep the thoughts and writing coming!

Well, since you didn't log in I will reply here:

Thank you for the lovely comments! And you will get your wish for more as the sequel to this story is completely outlined and will be put together as soon as I finish my current A/O Original story, Blindsided.

I am sorry I made you wait so long. I got a new job and a new beloved and both pretty much turned my world upside down! But I am back and I am writing! :)

Thanks for being such great readers, all of you!

Well, I would hope to see some more writing on this story sometime soon, but from your last update, I don't think we'll be seeing that anytime soon.

I was never an Alex/Liv fan until I started reading this and now it gives me new light and perspective on their "relationship." I must say though, while you had a great way of depicting their relationship, you did an excellent job at portraying an actual murder case being solved. I think that's one of the best mysteries i've read thus far. But again, absolutely loved the portrayal of Alex/Liv. I think you should continue on if not only with the case at hand with Zoey (as it was left on a cliffhanger saying "stay tuned...) but also with their relationship since they are at a steady point. This way, we can see a little more of the outcome of both things.

I have been reading fanfiction for quite some time and have been an Alex/Olivia supporter far before that. I stumbled upon a greatly written story about a year ago and after completing it, found all other writings weak and was never satisfied with any story line I read from then on… that is, until now. You have a great gift for writing. You’re ability to suck the reader in and make them leave wanting for more is incredible.

I just wanted to let you know that Thin Frames is in my top two favorite A/O stories! Please keep writing!

...This was an amazing story. I read it all in one go, as you had quickly sucked me in within the first chapter. Smiling broadly at each romantic moment, almost crying when things were down, frustated and stressed when the case was stalled by bureaucratic connections, and scared when the gun battle was raging... This was how you left me with each word.

I loved your characterizations, always keeping the feeling of the actual show within every scene. Wonderful, masterful writing. This is definately my favorite SVU fanfiction I've ever read. It was brilliantly executed.

I'll remember this one for a long time. *smile*

I WANT A SEQUEL AND I WANT IT NOW.

Good God, do you have any idea how long I've been looking for decent femmeslash? Fandom shmandom. I don't care if I've seen two episodes of SVU or two hundred. I WANT MORE A/O.

Pretty please?

No WAY! I just came across this story after I saw a reference to it in one of the Yahoo groups. Anyhow, WOW!! This story is freakin' awesome! and that ending? way to leave us in suspense. I don't even know what to say about this story.. the action, angst, love sequences, mystery.. all of it was just perfect making this one of the best O/A fanfics that I've read in a while. Thanks so much for writing this. Eagerly looking forward to more :o) Henny :o)
