This was really a nice thing to read. Really reminds you how the end of Shirley was quite the sad event. The words Shirley had for Suzaku and the few moments they interacted did make you think a little. Of course things never would have gone in that direction.

On top of it nice inclusion of Anya since memories really are key to who she is. Too bad they never interacted near the end of the series since you thought there was some friendship there.

Overall this was nice since it got the Aurthur moments in and showed how Suzaku felt here. It's a nice memory to think about.

Honestly, people shouldn't be comparing pairings. (Well, I'm being biased since I don't like Suzaku/Euphemia anyway...!) This is a lovely fic, a rare sight to see a really underappreciated pairing like this.

The only way I could've tolerated Shirley was if she loved Suzaku DX
