Oh, how delightful! I adore "When We Were Kings," but somehow I missed this prologue until now. You did a wonderful job here. Peter, Susan, and the Professor are all deliciously in-character and believable, and each plays the proper role. I like the idea that it wasn't simply frivolity that made Susan try to forget Narnia, but that there was a deeper hurt underneath it. I also think it's fitting that the High King should be the first of the Four to learn Aslan's name in our world, and that the Professor be the one to show it to him.

Great verse. I need to memorize that one. I wondered how Peter and the others found Aslan in this world. I'm quite sure they did. ;)

I also like how Peter was looking everywhere for Aslan, and then Professor Kirke just hands him the Bible and he "happens" to open it to Proverbs 8:17. Isn't that just like God to work through a "coincidence"?
