This is wonderful. I just read the whole thing in one sitting and I have to say I'm quite impressed with your writing skills. You don't often find a writer worth his or her salt on ff.n, but you definitely are.

I love your version of Yuffie. She's hysterical. Your characterizations are excellent in general. You've really captured their essence in a believable and entertaining way.

That last bit about Barret not being enough for Marlene anymore was heartbreaking. I really hope that you continue this at some point.

There are seriously no words to describe how much I adore this story so far. Really. ... As such, this review is going to be a bit short, because I have nothing to offer in terms of creative criticism. The way you write action scenes and your characterization and your writing in general is just like... Guh. Yuffie and Cid are spot on, and your Vincent makes me a very happy person. Srsly.

One thing I'd like to ask, though -- after being whooped the way Cid was, especially with those blows to the head... The broken nose was one thing, but after being hammered with a crowbar, of all things, wouldn't Cid have wounds a bit more serious? Broken ribs or a concussion? I've had a nasty encounter with a crowbar once upon a time, and it really wasn't pretty. -shudder-

But anyway, I'm really looking forward to later installments. It's incredibly difficult for me to get into Final Fantasy VII fanfiction now a days, so when I found this, it was a real treat. :D

This is really good! I love the idea that saving the world isn't good enough, and I've got to admit, your idea is very plausible. So... yeah. I love your story!

This is the best FFVII fanfic I have ever read. Ever.

You characterisation is so well-observed, and your style so engaging and utterly believable.

And though I'm pretty much certain you wont update (which is a damn soar shame), you have inspired me to write a Post Meteor fanfiction of my own.

Thanks for writing this story, it really was a pleasure to read it.

Whilst browsing, I clicked on the character filters for FF7 and selected Cid H. as character 1 and Yuffie K. as character two. I got a list of thirteen stories, six of which I have read, and about three that aren't even worth it due to horrible grammar.

However, at the second to last of that list, I came across "Hero of the Day." Unsuspecting as to what I would encounter in only eleven chapters, I clicked.

To my amazement, I had found something that I have never encountered before--Someone was exploring the range of possibilities behind the aftermath of Meteorfall.

I realize this is before Advent Children or any such thing, and definitely before there were even HINTS of Dirge of Cerberus emerging, which is what makes it awesome.

It is very true to form. Your characterizations are right on-point, in my opinion, your story is structured well, your descriptions and personality exploration as the story goes on are very complex and detailed. You explore the characters that people many times neglect--Cid, Yuffie, and Barret especially. Your original characters are filled-out and done well, keeping to the personality boundaries you have set for them. Your dialogue is excellent, and the slang and word-splicing are note-worthy.

I like the direction this is going, which is why it makes me slightly disappointed to see that his hasn't been updated in a year. However, I've read the author notes, and I realize that it's on the backburner. And I realize that there's an extremely high possibility that this will never again be touched by an author.

What little I got, though, was definitely worth the pining wish for more. So, this goes on my favorites, my alerts, and my high hopes list.

Well done, and I hope that one day I might get to hear more from this. After all, you never know.

I read every single chapter tonight. God! it was long but worth it.

I'm not sure if you'd remember, but I reviewed this fanfic a few (like two?) years ago. :D I was being bored in my head when I remembered your fanfic and checked back on it. I'm practicaly on the edge of my seat having finished reading the new chapter. Wow. Did I mention how much I love the way you characterize everyone? Wow.
So, to keep the review short: awesome fanfiction and I hope you update soon. Seriously. Hurry.
